Allied Health Professionals Month

Time to celebrate the dedication, hard work and contribution of all the AHPs
To create awareness on the role and responsibility played by AHPs in country.
To celebrate the success achieved by AHP in Malaysia
To show appreciation and support all the AHPs professions
It will be an opportunity for AHPs to build relationships among themselves and
public, reminisce with past achievements, and celebrate success and innovation
This month September is dedicated to highlight and celebrate the excellent work
of all Allied Health Professionals irrespective of whether they are employed in
government or private facilities. This celebration shall be an annual event
coordinate by Allied Health Sciences Division, Ministry of Health and partnership
with various professionals associations and private organizations.

Allied Health Profession Act (AHPA) 2016 /Act 774


Malaysians need reliable and trustworthy healthcare service to support them in
becoming as healthy and productive citizen. To meet this expectation it requires
healthcare professionals that are educated and capable of providing safe,
competent and ethical in their practice. They must demonstrate
the capacity to meet jurisdictional entry-to-practice competencies, and be able to
practise within the
context of relevant legislation and regulation while adhering to professional
standards of practice and
codes of ethics for the profession. Through legislation, the practical nursing
profession is also granted

the authority to recognize and set standards of education and standards of practice
for the profession
with an obligation to protect and serve the public interest

Transformation

The Association of Allied Health Sciences Division Personnel in collaboration with


Allied Health Sciences Division and the Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC)
have jointly organized this Conference and put together an interesting Scientific
Program to address the current updates in medical and health care.
Its a platform for health professional such as medical, allied health and other
professionals from various industries sharing their expertise and experiences.
Knowledge and information gain will mark the advancement of medicine and
science in the country and internationally.
Program highlights are the Allied Health Professions Act 2016, No. 774 that was
gazetted in Parliament in February 2016, and when implemented, will require 23
types of Allied Health Professionals to register in order to practice
