Essential Question: Is physical education important in young people's lives?

This article relates to the topic because it is the counterpoint of my working thesis. This
article talks about how academics are more important than helping the minority of obese
children. It talks about how children should be active on their own time and when they are at
school they should focus on academics. In school they should focus on promoting critical
thinking skill. Schools have changed the food they serve to low calorie foods for help prevent
obesity because they are limiting they physical education courses. This article is relevant to the
research because is the counterpoint of my thesis.

This article relates to the topic by showing how the federal government wants schools to
force physical education classes to decrease the amount of obesity in the united states. Obesity is
a serious thing and how it affects young adults in today's society. Obesity can ruin people's lives
especially children's if they do not have the right education to point them in the right direction.
Physical education is an important factor in young lives. If children did not have physical
education then the amount of obesity in children would be extremely high. This article is relevant
to the research because it tells about the importance of physical education.

The physical education teachers are people who understand and know why physical education is
so important to teach young people. It talks about how the goal of physical education courses is
to teach the importance of becoming and staying healthy, and to get young people to get in
shape. This article is relevant to the research because it informs the reader and tells why physical
education is an important developmental tool in young people's lives.
