About This Manual


Purpose

At first, thank you for choosing ZXSS10 SS1b of ZTE Corporation!


ZXSS10 SS1b is fully compatible with the layered standard NGN
model. It can provide NGN with service call and connection control functions which are required by real-time services. By using
ZXSS10 SS1b, operators can provide users with many kinds of
multimedia services which involve voice, video and data. ZXSS10
SS1b is, therefore, the core of NGN in terms of call and control.
This manual introduces the PC Server Telnet configurations of
ZXSS10 SS1b.

The ZXSS10 SS1b manufactured by ZTE CORPORATION meet

assembly. To guarantee compliance of the assembly, the need for

Interface
Prerequisites

You have the related software and files.

You have the rights to execute commands as a root user in PC


Server.

Context

This topic describes how to configure the 6000 interface in PC


Server.

Steps

1. Upload clittelnet to the directory /etc/xinetd.d/ of PC Server.


Remember to use a binary mode.
2. Modify the file /etc/services:
Add the following two lines and save them
clittelnet
clittelnet

6000/tcp
6000/udp

# Telnet 6000
# Telnet 6000

after these two lines

3. Execute /etc/init.d/xinetd restart as a root user to restart the


network service:

4. Test whether the 6000 interface can be used or not in the SUSE
system of PC Server.

Configuring the Foreground


Interface
Prerequisites

Context

Steps

You have entered the Data Configure interface.

You have the rights to configure the port distribution and the
port visit list.

This topic describes how to configure the Telnet 6000 interface (set
its interface module to be 512) on the network management interface in order to Telnet to the background by using the foreground
IP address and 6000 interface.
1. Add a 6000 interface in Port Distribution.
i.

In the Data Configure interface, select Global > IT Configuration > Port Distribution. The Port Distribution
interface appears, as shown in Figure 1.

ii. Click Add in the Port Distribution interface. The Add


Port Distribution interface appears, as shown in Figure
2.

iii. Configure the 6000 interface in the Add Port Distribution


interface. Remember to configure the number of the processing board which corresponds to the 6000 interface to
be 512, as shown in Figure 3.

iv. After finishing the configurations, click OK.


2. Add 6000 interface in Port Visit Control List Configuration.
i.

In the Data Configure interface, select Global > IT Configuration > Port Visit Control List Configuration. The
Port Visit Control List Configuration appears, as shown
in Figure 4.

ii. Click Add in the Port Visit Control List Configuration


interface. The Add Port Visit Control List Configuration
interface appears, as shown in Figure 5.

iii. Configure the visit list of 6000 interface in the Add Port
Visit Control List Configuration interface. For protocols,
select 2-TCP, as shown in Figure 6.

iv. After finishing the configurations click OK.

Configuring clit.out
Prerequisites

You have the related software and files.

You have the rights to execute commands as a root user in PC


Server.

You have the rights to execute the 2496 command.

Context

This topic describes how to configure clit.out so as to start the


system after logging in to the system through Telnet.

Steps

1. Copy all the files in the directory /DBServer/sun_oracle8/clit/ in the asc mode to a temporary directory folder
of the background server.
2. Assign executable rights to tel.sh in this directory:
chmod 755 tel.sh

3. Execute tel.sh in the directory and set a user name and a password (Here we assume that the directory is named as /zhao
and both the user name and the password are telnet):
ssdatabase:/zhao # ./tel.sh

4. Copy clit.out in the directory PCServer/ to the directory


/home/zxss10/clit/ of the background. Remember to use a
binary mode.
5. If English prompts are needed, create /home/zxss10/config/clit_LANG.ini whose contents are
LANG=0

Note:
LANG=1 means Chinese; LANG=0 means English.
6. Execute 2496 in the command line of the network management interface to open the executable functions of clit.out:
SS:>2496 2496,CLI_TermAgent is open

Testing Telnet
Prerequisites

You have configured the foreground interface.

You have configured the background interface.

You have configured clit.out.

Context

This topic describes how to test the Telnet functions and execute
commands through Telnet.

Steps

1. Telnet from the maintenance terminal to the NIC IP address


and 6000 interface (taking 10.0.5.130 as an example) to see
whether the operator can enter the clit.out prompt:
telnet 10.0.5.130 6000

Two parameters: S_NODEID, L_NODEID were added to this version
comparing to the version 1.0. The two parameters have default
value: 0 and 4294967295. If want to look up the information
of all the registered MG, please select the default value of
the parameter 2, 3, 4.
