Question 1
1
2

Based on the results that I got for question 1 in my pretest I gather that 75% of my
students got this question one. I now know that I do not need to spend a ton of time
on this topic, but I may briefly review the meaning and an example of theme and
setting and how that these are not the correct answers.

Question 2
1
2

Based on the data I received from question 2, I see that 81% of my students got this
question correct. I gather that I do not need to dwell on this definition because I see
that most of the students know that full definition. I may, if it flows well in my lesson
and the time allows, have students recite this definition back to me, but I do not
think that I will spend much time at all on this.

Question 3
1
2

Based on the data from question 3, only 63% of my students got this question right.
This tells me that I need to spend time on this concept and really dive deep into this
standard and make sure students have a clear understanding of an antagonist and
protagonist of the story.

Question 4
1
2

Based on the results from this question, even more so than question 2, I see that
my students have a pretty good bit of prior knowledge of this question. I also am
proud that the distractor of just another word beginning with the letter S did not
throw them off!

Question 5

1
2

Based on the data from question 5, I know that I need to spend a pretty good
amount on this topic. The topic of Literary Circles is new to them, so I need to be
sure to really give them a good preview of how this will work in our classroom.
