Answer the following questions:

Which learning styles did all the children seem to enjoy and
why?
The kinesthetic activities are the favorite for them,
because at this young age of five children tend to be
more active, and doing activities that involve moving
around and making things by their hand are like
playing for them and they dont feel that it is a task
they must do like writing or reading.

Why do you think the teacher incorporates a variety of

learning styles for the children?
Because, every student has his/her own way of thinking
and learning. So, making different activities will ensure
that all the students are learning. And as Gardner's
theory demonstrate that every person has specific
intelligences he/she uses to understand the world.

Notice which activities are repeated with a variety of learning

styles e.g. read a story, listen to a story, act the story, and
draw the story. Can you find other examples e.g. math or
science?
When they are doing the number of the day the
teacher write the number on the board and ask some
students to draw the tally marks, pictures, coloring the
blocks, find it in the number line on the board. Then
she asks them to find things in the class that present
this number.

How can teachers improve student learning by using a range

of learning styles?
To have an interesting lesson that motivate the students to
learn. And to give a chance for all the students to learn

the concepts even if they have variety intelligences.

TASK 5: Classroom Resources

TASK 5: Mathematical and/or Reading Resources in the Classroom

Discuss possibilities for implementing activities using these resources with

activities to develop
mathematical skills and
concepts using these
materials

My MST uses the dice to teach the

words, where she prepares a
worksheet with some general words
that the students must know, (I, like,
the, and, etc..). and they have to
roll the dice and see what number
they got, then spell the word that
have this number and write it.

The dice can be used

between the students, where
everyone should choose a
number and then they must
roll the dice. The student of
the number then have to say
a word or a short sentence.

The teacher uses this number to

tech ordering, as one of the groups
activity.

The plastic numbers can be

used to teach the pupils the
numbers, or in a searching
game, where every student
must choose a number then
search for things in the class
that presents the number
that they have. Also, in
rational counting

The teacher uses those puppets to

explain the community helper by
showing them the puppets.

The puppets can be used

in making short play. Ask
the students to choose a
puppet then talk about it
and what kind of
materials they use.

TASK 6: Mentor Teacher Interview

TASK 6: Interview your mentor on the roles and responsibilities of a
teacher

Preparing the lessons

How do you prepare

Building healthy
relationships with the
colleagues

What are your

responsibilities toward
parents?

The most important thing is to

cover the curriculum with the
students and make sure that they
understand the content to be
ready for the exams.
Making a lesson plan will
organize your lesson. And making
activities that are interesting and
fit the age level. And
differentiating the activities per
the student's levels will help all
the students to benefit from the
lesson and understand its
concepts.
It is important to have a
comfortable clean classroom that
inspire the students to learn with
some colorful designs, especially
for young students.
It is a very important thing to
take the attendance to know who
come to the school and who's
not. And then call their parents to
check why they are absent.
It is important to control student
behavior to have a smooth
lesson. And helping them to
increase good behavior will make
them good students
Respecting and helping other
teachers is something useful for
the school community. Also,
exchanging the ideas and
materials will progress the
teaching proses
Talking with parents and giving
them feedbacks about their child
will give them a general sight of
his/her progress and challenges
that he/she face in the school.
Also, showing them that you care
about their children will make
them trust you and the school for
their children.
