industries you could work it

TRANSPORTION
-

Dallas
would already own my own car
Gas price: $1.73/ gallon
Lexus RX: 28 miles/gallon
Mileage per day: 26 miles
- $1.61 /per day
- $49.80 /per month
- $597.60 /per year

New York
too expensive to own car
and driving is impossible
Public transportation: MTA
Sub way and bus
- cost: $116.50 /month
- cost: $1398 /year

**Transportation is always something I have weighed heavily when deciding if I want to move to New York.
This is primarily because right now I have a car that my parents gave me that works great and will probably
last me many more years. If I wear to move to New York, my parents would sell my car. I know I dont want
to live in New York forever so I have to decide if moving there is worth losing my car because I think itll be
a while until I can afford a car on my own.

DALLAS VS NEW YORK

Dallas
-ranked 73- very livable
-average cost of living
close to my family my
extended family is in the
DFW and my immediate
family is in Corpus Christi
-good weather year round
-great restaurants
-would be able to keep my car

New York City

- ranked 69- somewhat livable
-high cost of living - 38% higher
- high crime rate
-far away from my family in
south Texas
- weather is decent but has cold
winter
-lots of museums, shopping,
restaurants, and bars
-would be really fun but really
expensive to have fun in New
York

WHERE SHOULD I LIVE?

DALLAS !
- Salary is similar and the cost of living is much lower in
Dallas! I could live more comfortably!
-still a big city with plenty of restaurants and activities!
-I would get to keep my car! I would rather drive a car
than take the subway everyday.
-Close to family and friends!
-better weather!
