Effective Room Arrangement Case Study

Place the four students at a seating location in the diagram of your classroom
1. Robert
2. Latisha
3. Helen
4. Paulo
Explain why you selected the specific seating location you did and include which
strategies (STAR strategies) you used in making your decisions
1. Robert- Robert is placed at table 5 at the front of the room and near the teachers desk.
Robert is placed up front to help him see the board better and prevent him from becoming
distracted. By stating my expectations clearly, Robert will understand what is expected of
him and how he is to behave in his new seat.
2. Latisha- Latisha is placed at table 4, also close to the teachers desk. Latisha was placed
here to help limit her from distractions and make sure I can monitor her work. By
keeping Latisha close to my desk I can get to her table with no barriers.
3. Helen- Helen was placed at table 3 in the center of the room. I placed Helen here to
keep her on task and close to my desk so I can monitor her talking. Placing Helen at table
3 keeps her at an easy are to access to eliminate inappropriate behavior.
4. Paulo- Paulo was also placed at table 3 in the middle of the room. I placed Paulo here
to keep him away from his crush Latisha. After stating my expectations of Paulo clearly
this should eliminate any behavioral issues that could occur.

An Aggie does not lie, cheat or steal or tolerate those who do.
