Dear Senior Exploration Judges:
I recently moved to the Murrells Inlet area after living the first 17 years of my life in
Jacksonville, North Carolina. As I have progressed through my high school years my desire to
perform to the fullest of my abilities declined, at this point in time my main focus is just to
graduate.
I decided to focus my senior exploration topic towards felons and the struggles they deal with
because in June of 2016 I was arrested and I am now faced with the reality of living my life as
convicted felon. I researched the rights that are taken away from felons and how these loss of
rights continue to affect felons for the rest of their lives. I learned of the major rights lossed when
convicted and this will help me understand how my crimes will stay with me forever and limit
me from possibly reaching my true potential.
Deciding on a senior exploration topic was quite easy but trying to figure out how I was going to
complete the service hours was probably the hardest part. Once I found the person I completed
my service hours with it was quite easy from there. I just had to motivate myself to get this done
in order to make my goal of graduating a reality.
I would like to thank all of you judges for taking your time to partake in the Senior Exploration
and allowing me to present my product to you. I hope my presentation was enjoyable to listen to
and again thank you all for your time.
