Why the president of South Korea loses her trust rate recently?

A rate of truth of the president of South Korea decreased to 5%. It is the

lowest grade than any other Korean presidents. The average popularity of South
Korean presidents is near the 10%, so her popularity was too low to compare to
other presidents popularity. It seems to be unfair to measure someone as his/her
popularity. However, today, many South Korean are more upset to the president than
any other periods. Millions of people are flooded in Gwanghwamun-street to exclaim
the retirement of the president every weekend. Therefore, it has a point that
measures the president as her popularity. The most of slogan and contents in the
flood are maybe because of the events about choi sun sil. Nevertheless, thats not
the only one that makes people rage. The reasons why the South Koreans are
flooded and why the popularity of the president is the lowest are various in many
fields.
The main reason is about economy. Korea economy growth rate has
decreased continuously. Last decades, the worlds economy was worse than 30
years ago. Some people insist that it was the aftereffect of global economy. However,
Korea has a few more problems. First, the price level on South Korea has increased
annually. If the domestic economy were prosperous, it could be natural effect. But
the Korea economy has endured slump since 2008, the price level is an unwelcome
trend now. In addition to that, especially, price of inelastic goods like food and daily
necessary increased more than the price of luxury item. It means that ordinary
people more suffer by the economy slump and the gap between the rich and the
poor increases more than before. Then, the difficulty of ordinary life brought law
birthrate. Solow, a famous economist concluded on his paper that the low birthrate
growth rate must result in low economy growth (Solow, p.65-94). The all problems
that I mentioned in this paragraph result from trickle down effect that is the main
slogan of the president. Trickle down effect is the major company and
conglomerates growth could bring benefit to another low economic grades, so
government could aid upper class at first (David Walmsey, 2016). Recently, it is
unfolded that the capitalists growth is in inverse proportion to the whole growth rate
(Piketty, 2014). Conclusively, the economy policy from the government is invalid now.

It is the next reason that the presidents ability for government administrating
has some doubtful points. For 4 years, the president has spoken many speeches.
The speeches consist of many topics such as annual disasters, cabinet meeting
every week, and ferry Sewol incident. There are some grammatical, morphological
and even lexical errors for 4 years consistently. For example, on April in this year,
she participated in the summit meeting with U.S president. She could not speak what
she would like to say and even she forgot a question (Park, 2016). Then, Obama
reminded her of the question, miserably her answer was terrible. It did not match the
question, had many errors in the sentences, and was not fluent like any other Korean
presidents before. 2 years ago, the ferry Sewol incident happened. It is definitely a
tragedy. Many Koreans mourned together and helped the bereaved families.
Meanwhile, they raged to the government and the president. Obviously, at that time,
there are not any hot lines or any direct order system between the president and
rescue corps after the 7 hours of incident. Even the president escaped the ferry
Sewol problem by going to overseas trips. It shows her incompetence of
administrating, coping emergency quickly.
The last and latest reason of the low popularity is the corruptions of the
president, her secretary people and certain ordinary person. Maybe, most of
Koreans who participated in every weekend protests stood Gwanghwamun-street
because of those reasons. At first, all of the presidents secretary people took bribes
from many major companies. Especially, secretary Woo who appointed a prosecutor
at 21-year-old got 1 million dollars from Nexon company last year (Hong, 2016). He
summoned to the prosecution two weeks ago. There are many-dispatched presses
triggering a photo to him. Many reporters questioned about his charge to the
secretary Woo. He didnt say anything about his charge; rather, he was arrogant and
gestured like the innocent. Thanks to his attitude, many people raged more and the
presidents popularity descended deeply. Above all, the ordinary person, Choi sun-sil
is the most significant problem than any other corruptions. It may not an
exaggeration that all of problems in the Korean government are from her trick. She
dares intervened confidential documents of government and personnel appointment
of secretaries. Many high-rank government servants are used to her desire. After the
unfolding of Choi sun-sil, many people exclaimed that the president is a marionette,

and the judicial branch has to punish the both, Choi sun-sil and the president.
There are many opinions and guesses about the government and the
president while we could not find any obvious facts about many events because the
judicial branch do not investigate precisely yet. Therefore, we have to pay attention
to this situation. Next year is the last year of the presidential term. What we have to
for better future is the paying attention, not violating. I cannot foresee the future of
the Korea society. However, after this confusing period, it can make the Koreas
democracy better and mature citizenship than last decades.
