Security Crime Camera Proposal

No one wants to bury a loved one due to violence. It hurts even more knowing that the person
that took their loved one away is still out enjoying life. Basking in the fact that they were now caught.
Most people do crime in the early dark hours of morning where no one can see and if someone does see
something, too many people are afraid to say anything. I have a probable solution to this problem. They
are night cameras. These cameras can be turned on from dusk till dawn. Cameras can record violent acts,
stop putting the pressure on humans to tell if they saw an act, and it also helps get a more accurate story
as to what happened if it is recorded. All of these things not only make some people less likely to do
crime but also catch those who still have courage to do it.
So we know that crime cameras would help; but how exactly would they work? There are light
poles that use electricity along most streets. The Crime Cameras would go on every other light pole. Two
of them set on top of the light pole back to back both covering 180-degree width and up to 800 feet
distance. This helping to catch what one camera could have missed in its 180 degree turn. The cameras
will be highly equipped to see in the dark as hell as high definition lenses so that detail can be clearly
recorded. The clear recordings from the cameras and the area covered makes it easier for law enforcement
to identify victims and the criminals. So many times thats what halts investigations. There are no
witnesses and no leads. The cameras can give better chances to help solve cases and give loved ones
ease.

Just like everything else, people want to know what things are going to cost. More importantly
who is going to pay that cost. Crime Cameras can be split into different budgets so that not one
department has to pay the cost. The mayor, law enforcement, and other protective and community
services. Each one can add the cameras into their equipment budget so that they can use the cameras to
make their jobs a little easier. Cameras will be able to stop the rise of convicting the wrong people as well
as stop people who are falsely accusing people of things they are not doing. Some people may not agree
with this idea because it may invade some peoples idea of privacy. I have a solution for that as well.
Unless it is an act of terminal violence, something that ends in death, then everything else caught on
camera may not be used against them if charges or complaints are not filed.
I have targeted certain areas that I believe need it the most due to rising crime rate as well as lack
of evidence. Most due to people being afraid of retaliation. People around inner cities usually wont tell
even if they did see something. Not realizing that it would help the case. However, we have to use our
empathy with these people because they are silent because most feel if that happened to that person,
what do you think they will do to me once they find out I gave out information? its their defense
mechanism and we cannot fault them for that simply because they are afraid for their loved ones. So if
people in that area cant or wont talk, the crime cameras would be an amazing idea. No one has to fear
retaliation and more than that, we can help give families ease putting their loved ones violator behind
bars.
Nothing hurts more than losing a loved one. It hurts just as bad though not knowing who would
do such a thing. Crime cameras could help with so much. Right now they are aimed for inner city
violence, but could eventually have the potential to do more. Help stop vehicular homicides, child
abductions, purse snatching, carjacking, and so many more problems that are in more than just the inner
cities. Majority of these things are problems because no one ever sees anything. Cameras placed in the
right area usually see all. How many times can we stop a crime before it happened simply because more
people know that the cameras are in their area. Even if people tried to disable the cameras, because of

how they are placed and how they rotate, the culprit will be apprehended before he gets too far. Just the
thought alone that there are cameras makes culprits uneasy and less likely to commit a crime.
Neighborhoods would be a lot safer everywhere versus people trying to flee their area in search of a safer
one. This would also have the potential to raise neighborhood value. The safer the neighborhood the
higher it is to stay there because you are paying for security. This being said if the inner city
neighborhoods get better people will stop trying to flee and keep their business in their own are and could
live safely.
So I urge all of us to consider a safer route. Consider the possibilities. Putting the cameras into
effect could also open the potential later on for someone to better my proposal. So I propose we take a
stand in our own neighborhoods. Lets attempt to make the places we stay safer. Cameras have more
benefit that they do harm when used the correct way. It for protection. We can simply try to make it better
and this could be the way. We can do it if we tried and now thanks to crime cameras we now have a way.
