City of Albany Transfer Stations User Guide

Rural transfer stations provide a domestic waste service for rural ratepayers. Farm and
commercial waste is not accepted at these sites.
Domestic Rural Waste Service Passes are required to use any City of Albany Rural Transfer
Station and must be presented at each visit.
Each financial year one Domestic Rural Waste Services Pass is issued to rural ratepayers. This
pass entitles you to dispose of your domestic waste at any of the Citys rural transfer stations as
well as the Hanrahan Rd and Bakers Junction landfill sites. Each pass has 52 tokens with each
token equal to a 140 litre bin of rubbish.
One pass for a ute/trailer load of waste is also issued each financial year. This is the blue pass
that can be used once only.
Additional passes can be purchased from the City of Albany, North Rd office at the fees below.

Deposit your recycling in the recycling bins provided.

4.

After depositing your recycling move your vehicle to the general waste unloading ramp to
deposit your waste in the large skip bin.

If you have scrap steel please deposit in the steel bin. Note - no fencing wire, fencing mesh
or commercial quantities of steel are permitted.
