About MCOR

Our main aim at MCOR is to ensure that everyone has FUN. We want to promote safe, family
orientated racing. We race on Sundays every fortnight. The club uses the popular iRace
transponder system. We have a tuckshop selling hot and cold food including pasties, sausage rolls,
crisps, chocolate and drinks. Hot food can be reserved on the booking in list. We have a fully
stocked track shop sponsored by Modelforce UK. The club also holds full Public Liability insurance.

Location
We are located at Treviscoe Community Centre PL26 7QW, next to the railway running through
Treviscoe village. The village is a short drive just off the A30, and there are two Travelodge and
Premier Inns within 10 minutes from our venue in Fraddon and Roche for travelling drivers staying
overnight.

Meeting Details

Alloy Series
The alloy series consists of 3 rounds over the year, plus a BWS round in March (not counting
towards our points series). This is a separate championship to the ABS bangers. Normal
bangers will be run alongside each meeting for those who dont want to take part in alloys.
The rules are the same as our normal banger rules. All body mount types can be used e.g. V10 /
cradle / posts etc. Any Unlimited alloy shell can be used. Scrutineers will be checking for over
strengthening at their discretion.
The two Liams are sponsoring the series by selling alloy shells at discounted prices, see them at
a meeting or message on Facebook to buy a shell.

Bournemouth 20v20
Bournemouth have challenged us this year to a 20 vs 20 event. The top 10 point scorers at
MCOR will be seeded to take on BRCR on first refusal, then the other 10 places will be allocated
first-come-first-served for those interested. The away leg takes place at Bournemouth on
Saturday 18th February, shell list/fixtures to be chosen by them. The home leg is on Sunday 21st
May, shells for the 20v20 races will be Unlimiteds.

Incinerator weekend

Rules

General
All cars will be scrutinised before racing to check for 3mm ride height
Use of tyre additive is prohibited
No diffs in any 1/12th formula
Dont mess about on the start line
Dont jump the start
When the race is over all cars must stop, so they can be collected safely
There will be a clearly marked pull-in/safety zone in the centre of the track, could drivers
refrain from hitting in this area (we realise that accidents happen but please try and keep them
to a minimum)
Do not put your hands inside the track when cars are running, once your car is on the track it
stays on the track (the only exception to this being in the event of a fire, in which case a MCOR
committee member will remove it) You can however drive it to the designated safety zone on
the infield if it is drivable.
If your car gets knocked off of the track it stays off the track, this applies to all races and DD.
Any driver seen to have broken this rule will have all points for the meeting deducted. The
same applies if your car is knocked off its wheels onto its roof. This rule applies to all formulas.
Oppo will be permitted in banger heats only and only on corners within the marked area,
we have done this to cater for every racer (any oppo outside this designated zone will not be
tolerated and will carry a ban if consistently abused) we understand accidents can happen and
not every hit is aimed in this way
We ask that all food and drink is kept away from the track
May we also take this opportunity to politely ask that you keep your pit table clean.
Damaged/dirty pit tables could potentially jeopardise our use of the hall and is unacceptable.
All cars will be scrutineered before racing and may also be checked at any point during the
meeting and after the finals
As we are a family orientated club we ask that you refrain from using bad language.
We ask that parents keep an eye on their children, try to prevent them running around the
track distracting racers.
Banger Formulas
We run to current BWS banger rules (if youre unsure of these we will send you a set) all we
ask is you run a G2 motor at our club (these will be available at the trackshop)
At some meetings we will specify if drivers must use the topplate mount only, we will let
drivers know this in advance.
Scratch builds are allowed but plastic only please, keep the alloy for special occasions (health
and safety), don't worry there will be plenty of chances to bend some metal!
Repairs can be made to cars between heats but we ask that these not be too excessive (BWS
spec)
Limos are welcome but please keep to a realistic length
Please make sure you have the right shell for the meeting as advertised

1300 SaloonStox/Rookies
In SaloonStox and Rookies we ask that contact is kept to a minimum, i.e. nudge and spin
Adults are responsible for their children in the rookies. Rookies are not bangers and are there
to introduce beginners into the sport whilst keeping the costs down. Rookies are to be built to
saloon rules, so as when the beginner is ready to graduate to the Saloon class they are familiar
with the car and racing type.
All saloons/rookies are to be standard SWB, with either Kamtec, Large IT or Mardave
standard bumpers, Motors are to be G2, we know other motors are allowed on BWS rounds
but we feel this easier to police, and 4 cell NIMH/NICAD batteries a maximum of 5000 MAH.
Speed Controllers can be any of your choice.
Permitted 1300s shell list:
Datsun Sunny 1300, Ford Ka, Ford Fiesta Mk 6, Ford Escort Mk1, 2 or 4, Anglia, Capri, Cortina Mk1 & 2,
Mazda 323, Peugeot 205 & 206, Toyota Starlet 1.3, Vauxhall Nova, Corsa, Tigra, Volkswagen Golf,
Nissan Micra, Beetle, Clio, Morris Minor

If you have an alternative shell please contact a committee member to check eligibility to race.
NO van or estate versions please
Drift Bangers
Any 1/10 on-road touring car/drift type chassis may be used
Any hopups can be used which are available for your chosen chassis
Any chassis/hopup material may be used, e.g. plastic, GRP, alloy or carbon fibre
Shell material must be ABS only, no Lexan shells
Electrics: Saturn 27t or Mardave G2 motors only and 6 cell 2000 mah NIMH/NICAD batteries,
any esc can be used, no drift assists e.g. gyro and all hard plastic tyres.
This is a rapidly growing formula raced all over Cornwall and Devon so we would like to keep in
line with fellow tracks
F2s
Any recognised stockcar chassis can be used from the following manufacturers including but
not limited to: Mardave, Dot, Avenger, Pinky, MBR, Kamtec etc. Any homebuilt chassis will
need to be scrutinised before racing to check that it complies with MCOR F2 rules for length
and width.
Car may be run with or without a rear shock
Electrics: Cars must run a 4 cell NIMH/NICAD battery up to 5000 mah and a G2 motor, any
esc.
Shell and wing must be F2 style, no F1 bodies/wings to be used.
