FABRICATION OF SHEET METAL ROLLING MACHINE

SYNOPSIS

In sheet metal working industry a wide range of power and hand operated
machines are used. As the industry is a large and growing industry different type of
machines are used for different operations. This machine produces round sheet
metal of different diameter and length. This machine can be used various fields.

WORKING PRINCIPLE
The single phase supply is given to the induction motor, it will run. The
worm gear arrangement will run according to the speed of the motor. Before switch
on the induction motor, the sheet metal wire is locked to the lock nut in the sheet
metal wire tare. the tare is fixed to the frame stand by two end bearings, so that it
will run freely according to the speed of sheet metal rolling shaft
The sheet metal rolling shaft is rotated when the single phase induction motor
switched on. This sheet metal wire is rolling in the rolling shaft due to the rotation
of the sheet metal rolling shaft. The length of the rolling sheet metal is decided by
the operator. The required length of the sheet metal is rolled; the single phase
motor is switched off. The sheet metal is cut by the cutter, the next above
procedure continue once again for the next sheet metal operation. The rolling
operation can also be carried out manually by the handle provided in the model.
The handle is attached to the worm gear.

INTRODUCTION
An electric motor is a device using electrical energy to mechanical energy always
by the interaction of magnetic fields and current carrying conductors. Reverse
processes that of using mechanical energy to produce electrical energy is
accomplished by generator or dynamo. In principle all electrical motors can run as
generators and vice versa although that not practical with all types in all

portable device or motor vehicle from alternative current from central electrical
distribution grid. The very largest electric motors are used for propulsion of large
ships and for such purposes as pipe line compressors with rating in 1000 of KW .
Electrical motors may be classified by the source of electric power, by the internal
construction and by application.

Sheet metal rolling industry is a large and growing industry. There are many
special purposes machines used in this industry today. The Article in the shape of
round is made by sheet metal rolling shaft. Rolling operation can be done on hand
or power operated rolling machine.
