Adapted by Dr. Sharon Paton: Leadership and Professional Practice (used with verbal permission, Oct 10, 2006)
Marketing
How will you market yourself to achieve your vision?
To market myself, I will first create a business card indicating my profession. I will attend networking workshops to connect with
health professionals to advance in my career
I will create a Linked-In profile when I graduate to use social media platforms to market myself.
What images and messages have I posted on social media? What do they say about me? Do I need to edit or remove postings?

Career Plan 2016-2017

I keep my social media on a private level, as posts that I create are only seen by friends and family that I approve on. By doing this, it
allows my professional and private lives separate. Regardless of privacy, I do not post anything that goes against the professional
values of nursing.
