Third Sunday of Advent

The question in todays gospel demands a response: Are you the oneor shall we
look elsewhere? Put another way: Do you live your life in the way that gives clear
guidance to others? Or must children and friends look elsewhere for direction: to

sitcoms, athletes and politicians! The gospel asks, are you the one to bring Christ to
others?
Aging religious need your help. Senior Catholic sisters, brothers, and religious order
priest have offered their lives in service to others educating the young, comforting
the sick, seeking justice for the oppressed. Today, many are frail, elderly, and in need
of assistance. Your gift to the Retirement Fund for Religious helps to furnish
medications, nursing care, and other necessities. Please give generously to todays
second collection.

313 Holy Hours were kept before the Blessed Sacrament this past week. The
following are committed adorers who signed in the month of November: Greg
Pramula, Chris Christoff, Ed & Sandy Meholick, Robert Nicholas, Natalie Chester
and Pat Zellia.
The Holy Hour Committee is extremely grateful.
Remember.because of the committed adorers, our church doors are not locked,
allowing all to visit, light a candle or pray. Consider being on the list next month!
Attention all Wednesday daytime adorers: We have two new Captains for Wednesday,
they are Kime Mira 330-618-9208 and Pat Shultz 330-703-9280. They are both
committed adorers on Wednesday. Lynn Willig, a previous Captain with Janet Wolf,
has decided to give full time attention to the Culture of Life Group which is her
passion. We appeal to all parishioners and others, to join her in her dedication to end
abortion and all that has evolved from that terrible act. She is very good at what she
does and could use all the help she can get. I want to ask a favorI want to ask you
to walk together, and take care of one another. (Pope Francis)

CULTURE OF LIFE - During this Advent While reflecting on the Sacred mystery of

the Incarnation and its significance to the preborn child, I recalled the following prayer
composed by Father Frank Pavone, founder of Priests for Life that I would like to
share.
Redeemer in the Womb
Lord Jesus Christ, You took our human nature upon yourself.
You shared our life and death, our childhood and adulthood.
You also shared our time in the womb. While still God, while
worshipped and adored by the angels, while Almighty and filling
every part of the universe, You dwelt for nine months in the
womb of Mary. You were our Redeemer in the womb, our God
who was a preborn child.
Lord Jesus, we ask you to bless and protect the children who
today are in their mother's womb. Save them from the danger
of abortion. Give their mothers the grace to sacrifice
themselves, in body and soul, for their children. Help all
people to recognize in the preborn child a brother, a sister,
saved by You, our Redeemer in the womb.
The Culture of Life meets on the first Tuesday of every month in the rectory following
5:15 Mass and Benediction. For more information contact Lynn Willig @ 330-
