In case of Hiab operation: Operator shall be
positioned opposite side of the truck to
that which load will be lifted or lowered.
Operator shall have clear view of the area
where the load will be lifted from and
lowered onto.
All the cable drums shall be protected with
edge stopper to prevent roll over.
Tagline /ropes shall not be snagged, must
be observed during lifting.

Proper and sufficient no of access & egress
to be provided.
Adequate no of dewatering pumps to be
kept in standby for use.
Area to be barricaded and adequate
signages to be placed to avoid people
entering the work area.

Job description: JHA for Cable Laying.

Proper respiratory protection will be given


to avoid the dust.
Banksmen to be provided to control the
traffic.
Vehicle to be fitted with reverse alarm.
Stopper shall be in practice to control the
movement of equipment near trench edge.
Life line to be provided along with safety
harness to all the labours while working on
slope.
Goal post to be provided to warn the
equipments while working near overhead
Lines.
Banksmen should accompany the vehicle
while working under OHL.
Adequate type of PPE to be used for the
job.
Periodic rest breaks / stretch-outs / crew
rotation.
All moving parts to be adequately guarded
and shall not be removed.
The person operating the roller to be
trained on operation.
