This is a very mature, fully ruggedized tactical surveillance technology designed for use across a spectrum of military and law
enforcement applications. It is currently deployed with Army units and Special Forces in both OIF and OEF, as well as in numerous law
Assessment: enforcement applications. It is easy to use, relatively inexpensive, and addresses high priority capability gaps as identified in the current
MRL. It also has the potential to support current objectives in experimentation. Open source data from Dun & Bradstreet and other
sources indicate that the company is stable and has a good reputation for product quality and after-market support.
Recommendation Pursue
UNODIR, the TISO will undertake the following actions:
1. MCWL: Pursue applicability of this technology to achievement of ECO LOE 4 objectives with the Experimentation Division; the METNCE project being conducted by Technology Division (C4 Branch); and the appropriate MEF LNOs and SCIADs.
Planned Actions 2. CDD: Socialize technology with ROs in appropriate ID(s). Most likely targets are FPID and IID.
3. TECOM: None.
4. MCSC: Socialize technology with Infantry Weapons Systems (IWS) Product Group, especially Family of Raids and Reconnaissance
Equipment (FRRE) and Marine Expeditionary Rifle Squad (MERS).
