Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)

A. Write ONE (1) take away from each of the THREE (3) documents.
ESSA FACT SHEET- I think that the every student success act is very
important to students and teachers. I took away from this article
that it is more important to focus on a well rounded education for
the students rather than emphasizing test taking.
ESSA TITLE IV- Every state receives an allocation of the fund and I
think it's smart that then the state decides which district gets how
much goes to each district.
PE+ HEALTH = STUDENT SUCCESS- What I took away from this
article is that studies show that brains are more on task after
Physical activity.

B. Write personal reflection - (role now as a student and as a future

health and/or physical educator moving forward with this
legislation)

This legislation is going to be important to me as a future

Physical Education because it can fund my future department for
Phys. Ed. Also this legislation is important because it seems to be
more qualitative rather than quantitative because it doesn't focus
around test taking as much as it focuses over a well rounded
education. Also with this legislation there can be improvement of
students brain ativity in other classes, because physical education
will be provided in school which makes the brain more on task.
