Naushawng Education Network is an independent and non-profit educational organization founded on April 9th 2009 by Kachin scholars who are committed to work for strengthening democratic transition and community development in north and north-east Myanmar. NAUSHAWNG aims to contribute to the democratic transition, peace building and sustainable development in Myanmar through training, education, research, advocacy and networking. Program Manager (Research)
Shatapru, Myitkyina Research and Development Department Head 1 year (ongoing extendable contract)
Main role and responsibilities:
Managing the general operation of the research program Develop research proposal in cooperation with members of the research department team and the directors Develops research protocols that clearly describe research objectives and procedures necessary to test the hypotheses of the research project. Develop research designs, data collection methods and strategies for data management. Design, create and revise research instruments as necessary to ensure quality data that correlates with research objectives Issue annual (and quarterly as necessary) reports Take main responsibility of designing and developing research methodologies, implementation plan, and evaluation. Coordinate the work of research team members
Supervises research volunteers
Build partnership with researchers and relevant professionals Find resources necessary for research projects Conduct and chair research program meetings Ensure that projects are executed successfully and completed within time frames to meet research objectives Write and edit technical reports and manuscripts for publication or presentation. Attend meetings and conferences which are related to the work of NSENs research department Report to the head of Research and Development Department Teaching Research Methods at Naushawng Community School on demand Act according full integrity and NSENs code of conducts.
