his sudden death by pneumonia in 1799, the
primary crop on his sprawling Mount Vernon
farm was hemp. Washington was also interested
in the potential medicinal uses of his cannabis
crop, which perhaps makes him the first
proponent of medical marijuana in the US.
How do we know this now?
Washington maintained meticulous diaries
before, during and after his appointment as the
USs first political leader. In his twilight years,
Washington spent the majority of his time
attending his plantation known as Mount
Vernon. In these diaries, which can now be
found easily online, Washington penned
countless entries regarding the high THC
content of his crops and ruminations about the
pleasant, anxiolytic properties of cannabis and
its potential (and likelihood) that it would be of
paramount medicinal value.

1873, and is the origin of the term movers
and shakers and famously quoted by

innovation. It alludes to those living on the
fringes of society, those who dare to think
differently on the surface, it champions
artists, writers, and musicians words and
emotions are eternal, yet someday every
conventional brick ever stacked will fall.
