Anything
The students open their Books at page 92. The teacher asks
them to look at the picture and the words above it. He
starts to describe one of them and the students have to
guess which one he is talking about.
A measure of the warmth or coldness of an object
(temperature).
This is what happens to ice when the temperature decreases
(melt).
These are animals that are about to go extinct (endangered
species).
We call a situation this if you can injure yourself while doing it
(dangerous).
The land mass around the North Pole (the Arctic).
An animal that lives around icy waters and has no legs (seal).
Water turns into this if the temperature is low enough (ice).
This is the measurement of temperature (degree Celsius).
The activity when you want to catch animals to eat them
(hunt).
A way you can travel in water (swim).
A big animal that eats meat and lives near icy waters (polar
bear).
The teacher plays the full audio recording first and the
students decide if the sentences are true or false. The
teacher then plays the recording in parts. Checking: one
student reads one sentence and tells if it is true or false.
Students are asked to form groups of 3. Each group has to
look up an endangered species and create an at least three
slides long PowerPoint presentation about it, including
pictures, natural habitat, and other information they deem
necessary or interesting.
