My last assignment was to prepare a safe shutdown manual laying down standard operating procedures for safe
shutdown of critical equipment for polypropylene manufacturing plant in Reliance Jamnagar refinery division. I
liaised with research & Technology group and my operations department to prepare designs for manual to ensure
safe shutdown.

improvement? Describe any event / situation in your life which has impacted / influenced you significantly
As of a person, I am extrovert, hardworking and conscientious. I am ambitious and strive to be leader in my domain
One of a major strength of mine is to honour my commitments. I can be depended on to take responsibility for my
actions and to live up to my responsibilities completely. I am a people person who understands people well and
believe in forging healthy relationships. One area of improvement that I have been working upon is my reluctance to
delegate tasks as a result I end up overburdening myself and underutilizing my resources. I have honed my planning
and organizational skills undertaking various leadership and social initiatives. In college I was felicitated with
Certificate of special mention for my leadership initiatives. During my job at Reliance Industries, I have worked to
improve the livelihood of children of blue collared workers. Currently I am pursuing this interest of mine by being
part of core team member of Manfest-Varchasva committee in IIM-Lucknow. So I am looking forward to work in an
organization where I can learn and grow, add value to the organization and in fulfil my goals.
I believe that the poor economic conditions of my family in formative years of my life has shaped my desire to make
it big in life. So My long term goal is to build a career so as to create an identity of my own, having a firm social
standing. And in my quest, I aim to create value and be able to pay back to the society, thus derive satisfaction,
contentment and happiness.
2. What is your single largest achievement so far? Why do you consider it to be your largest achievement?
Being awarded Certificate of special mention for my leadership accomplishments in IIT-BHU is my largest
achievement because I was the only one amongst a batch of 5000 to receive it in annual awards ceremony. The
award was received that day but was earned after four years of my hard work and dedication to various leadership
and social initiatives that I took in those four years. I headed the student body to campaign for support of conferring
IIT status to IIT-BHU. To support the cause, I steered a signature campaign to gather 15000 signatures of local
residents within a week.
I have led team of 200 as a convener to organize annual national cultural festival of IIT-BHU. I also undertook
different social initiatives such as raising AIDS Awareness, worked for improving livelihood of unprivileged children.
Apart from my achievements, The award also stands testimony to my transformation from a shy, introvert first year
student to a person who was recognized by the institute for his leadership activities. This award reminds me my
abilities and made me ready to face challenges in the future.

3. Have you ever adopted a non-traditional approach to manage a project / situation or to solve a problem?
Briefly describe the project / situation of the problem, the approach and the outcome.
In third year of my graduation, I planned to organize a Dandia night in college for the first time. We asked for the
permission from authorities and were informed just a day before regarding finalized date for the event. That day
major market was closed due to weekly holiday of market. We needed to procure the dandia(wooden sticks used to
play dandia) for the event otherwise the event would have been a failure. After lot of brainstorming, I came with an
idea of creating dandia sticks with with PVC pipes. I immediately with the help of my team procured PVC pipes,
cutted them to the size of dandia, wrapped them with design papers and made it look like a dandia. I was skeptical
about the success of this form of dandia so I arranged for only 800 such pairs, although event expected a footfall of
4000 plus. Finally in the event we generated a revenue of 32000/- and ran short of Dandias. The fund generated was
used in making other arrangements of the successful execution of first dandia night of IIT-BHU.

4. What are your personal goals in life? How would getting into Marico / this role help you in your journey towards
your Personal Goals?

My personal goal in life in the short term is to work in FMCG industry for the reason that the dynamic and constantly
evolving nature of the industry entices me. So I would like to kick-start my career with a company which provides
ample learning opportunities, exposure to real time problems in sales and marketing so as to develop a holistic
perspective of the industry. In the long term, I want to reach the topmost management position in an esteemed
organization where my decisions can make a difference, thus I would be able to add value to the organization and
society.
Marico Being a leader in the sector will provide me freedom and learning opportunities to develop an insight on FMCG
industry. I relate with the value system of Marico to make a difference and have always strived to achieve excellence.
Apart from that I would be given an early responsibility and freedom to experiment which will bring out the true
learning and thus create a whole new level of opportunities to lay out the foundation of my long term goals
