• Called in by the corporate CIO to run the correction of key parts of the enterprise project for the centralized payroll
application – found many key areas causing horrible performance degradation on all levels; correction on one key
operation improved performance by 800% after implementation on two weekends (application of the same steps in
other areas is planned in the next two months).
• After the CRM project #1 failed after three years and the Seibel project was failing after 2 years, I took it over and
ran it to a successful conclusion in 7 months – had to first get persons on the project to talk, not scream at each
other; also had to redo all business requirements including risk analyses and assessments and drive the rest of the
project elements to a successful conclusion.
• Created the first enterprise level business and data model for the international corporation – this was critical to the
documentation of each part and the whole of the corporate structure plus the base of the Operational Data Store,
source for the whole Enterprise Core Project, and the source for the Enterprise Reporting Project.
• Managed the project review of the second major revenue producer in the corporation (credit card and gift card
application) – corrected very poor product development and management which was beginning to hurt revenue.
• Did the same type of project management of the development, migration, and all design work on the “life works”
priority one application for online use – there was the same problems as in the project immediately above this one
– it helped save the project and kept our massively important client – the United States Army from leaving which
could have severely damaged corporate revenue.
• Managed the correction of the entire recruiting application system to include analyses, solutions, tests,
implementation – in the first 4 months, the abysmal performance was improved by 400% preventing the loss of
over 30% of the major corporate accounts.
• Managed the project of the full reverse engineering and thorough documentation of all application systems
throughout the United States, Canada, and Great Britain – 37 application systems also including the hardware,
operating systems, and databases – never done previously – significantly increased understanding of each system
complex
