How does Profile Professional Hydroponic Growth Medium work?

Profile Hydroponic Growth Medium works on the principles of basic soil physics. The optimal
growing medium consists of 50% solids and 50% pore space for air and water movement. Most
importantly, the pore space in the soil should be divided equally between oxygen and water holding
pore space. Other competitive products provide little oxygen, dry quickly and can become
hydrophobic.

and is compliant with organic standards in accordance with the U.S. National Organic Program
(NOP). However, Profile is a combination of inorganic minerals that have been kiln fired into a
ceramic material that does not breakdown.

How is Profile Professional Hydroponic Growth Medium different than Turface?

Turface is a proven soil amendment made by the same company but designed for athletic fields.
Profiles particle size is signicantly different than Turface and has been formulated for hydroponics
to grow tomatoes, other vegetables and flowers. Profile hydroponic particles are four times larger
than Turface to create more air space in the root zone. Additionally, zeolite has been added to
Profile to enhance its nutrient holding capacity for more efficient plant growth.

Does Profile replace all other hydroponic mediums such as Hydrocorn and
Growstone?

Yes. Profile Professional Hydroponic Growth Medium should be used on its own to create an ideal
hydroponic root zone. Products like Hydrocorn and Growstone offer very little nutrient holding
capacity compared to Profile. Profile outperforms competitve products by balancing air and water,
holding more water and storing more nutrients. Profile will permanently improve the system and
effectively replace both of them as an all-in-one medium.

Does it need to be rinsed?

No. Unlike many competitive products, Profile Professional Hydroponic Growth Medium does not
need to be rinsed before use. However, water immediately to charge the ceramic particles.

Can it be reused?
