GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST,

AND ON EARTH PEACE,

GOOD WILL TOWARD MEN.
Luke 2:14

Welcome to First Presbyterian Church of Orlando! Were glad youre part

of the family this Christmas. Today we celebrate the gift of Gods light, shining into
our own lives and the darkest places in the world. Together we pray for hearts to
receive the light of Jesus and share Him with others!
This season is filled with a special joy, and we invite you to continue rejoicing
with us in the New Year on Sunday mornings at 8:15am, 9:45am or 11:00am,
as we worship God together and learn more about the things that bring Him joy.

Tomorrow

Join us for a special Christmas

morning Lessons & Carols
worship service at 11am in
the Sanctuary. Families with
children worship together.
(No childcare.)

New Years Day

On Sunday, January 1,
join us for 9:45am Genesis
worship, or 11am Traditional
worship. SHINE for children
will be available.

Light Safely

Please assist your children in

lighting and holding candles
so they dont set their sisters
hair on fire. Keep your candles
upright; tip the unlit candle
only to prevent dripping wax.
Candles will be collected at the
door as you exit.

Family Photos

Stop by after worship and have

your free family photo taken
by one of our photographers
in front of the Christmas tree
in King Parlor. Youll be able to
download your photo tomorrow
for free.

FAMILY
Today we light the Christ candle signifying that the Light of the World has come to
this darkened earth. This night is like no other night in the history of the world. For
it was long ago that God, the Creator of the universe, took on human flesh as a
baby and came to live among the very people He created.

Assisting in Worship: Stephanie Rivera, Katie Grace Miller, and Brooke Pekoe with Rejoice! Childrens
Choir and Rejoice! Youth Chorale; Kim Allen, Rhissa Parker, Katie Roggow, Tami Vais and Alexa Rossi with
SHINE Nativity Players; Rebecca Martin with Rejoice! Dance Ensemble; and Josiah Armes accompanying on
organ and piano.
Christmas Eve Family Services allow children of First Presbyterian Church of Orlando to lead in worship to
tell the story of Jesus birth in a special way. The Rejoice! Childrens Choir and Rejoice! Youth Chorale sing
and play Orff instruments (i.e. xylophones), telling the story musically. They rehearse each Sunday during the
Fall to prepare for the Family Christmas Eve services. The SHINE Nativity Players volunteer their time to give
a visual of the story of Jesus birth. The Rejoice! Dance Ensemble rehearses leading up to Christmas Eve
and bring artistic expression through dance to our worship experience. We are grateful to all the families and
volunteers that gave of their time and allowed their child to lead Gods people this afternoon.
