You do not require great expertise in repairing the same.

What you require is obsolute patience in carefully

removing the top side cover without damaging any portion of the area you put the jel for scanning. After removing
carefully
check with your multimeter the continuity between connector and wires. Some wires would have been cut or
damaged which you have to solder with SMD soldering iron (with low temperature) and check for crystal, wheather
it is properly placed and its wires and continuity with respect to connector is allright, just give low coltage and see
wheather the crystal is oscillating.if it is not replace the crystal. If top coating is damaged, you may have to re-coat
the same.In case elements are damaged carefully replace them.Having back illuminated microscope to view the
same with a magnification of 1X 100 would help you more .I hope you will find the above information usefull.

The technique you are referring to is called "re-lensing". Email me which probe your are referring to and I can help.
FYI the equipment needed is a little costly ($1000.00+).
