PERIOD-1:
LEARNING OBJECTIVES: To appreciate a Shakespearean play.
To understand the theme and the characters.
RECALL: The teacher will ask the students their views about Shakespearean plays,
his writing style etc.
METHOD: The teacher will hold a discussion in the class and get the class to watch
act-1 of scene -1.
RECAPITULATION: The teacher will ask questions from what the class watched to
check their comprehension.

PERIOD: 2:
LEARNING OBJECTIVES: To understand the usage of supernatural elements and
superstitions in the play.
To understand the character of Caesar.
RECALL: The students will listen to scene -2 of Act-2, as the teacher reads and
explains.
METHOD: The teacher will read and explain the lines of pg 159, 160.
RECAPITULATION: The teacher will ask the following questions to assess the
comprehension of the class.

Describe the visions of the watch?

b)

How did Caesar react to Calpurnias plea? What does this tell about Caesar?

RECALL: The students will watch the film and discuss their views on the plot and the
characters.
METHOD: The teacher will read and explain the lines from pg 161 & 162.
RECAPITULATION: The teacher will ask the students the following questions:

What Decius Brutus interpretation of the dream?

What was the outcome of the interpretation?

PERIOD: 4:
LEARNING OBJECTIVES: To understand the development of the plot.
RECALL: The students will watch the scene of the execution of the conspiracy and
engage in a discussion.
METHOD: The class will watch the film and then the teacher will read and explain
the lines of pg 163 & 164.
RECAPITULATION: The teacher will ask the following questions to the students.

Did Caesar deserved to be killed? Why?

What is your opinion about the conspirators?

c)

Can Caesars killing be compared to any other in history?

LEARNING OBJECTIVES: To understand the character of Marcus Brutus & compare
and contrast it to that of Mark Anthony.
RECALL: The students will watch the film and listen keenly to the dialogues of
Brutus & Anthony.
METHOD: The teacher will read & explain the line on pg 165 &166.
RECAPITULATION: The will hold a discussion in class and ask the students about
their opinion of Brutus & Anthony.

RECALL: The students will continue to watch the play.
METHOD: The class will watch the play and discuss the characters.
RECAPITULATION: The teacher will lead the students into a discussion about the
character of Brutus and Anthony.
