A building permit will not be issued without this application / worksheet completed. This analysis is
a free service for Antwerp Township property owners.
The purpose of this form is to notify the property owner of the zoning of his/her property and to ensure no
unauthorized split has occurred prior to building permit issuance. The information below is a guideline to
Antwerp Townships zoning regulations. This, in no way, represents all rules and regulations that must
be adhered to in varying situations. For these situations, please refer to the actual zoning ordinance or
speak with the township supervisor or the zoning administrator. If more than one type of zoning for the
property is indicated below, then the owner should again check with the township supervisor or the
zoning administrator to establish where the zoning boundaries on the property are located.

suitable. These areas shall also serve as greenbelt and wildlife areas. Any non-agricultural development is

_____ Medium and High-Density Residential The soil and topography of these areas is less desirable for
agricultural purposes. Historical residential growth has been confined to these areas. The intent of these areas is to
encourage a suitable environment for families. To this end, uses are basically limited to single-family dwellings,
together with certain other uses, such as school, parks, and playgrounds, which provide a neighborhood
environment. Commercial developments and developments incompatible with the intent are prohibited.
Permitted principal uses:

? Multi-family dwelling for up to three (3) families
Permitted accessory uses:

? Garden house, tool house, swimming pool, playhouse, greenhouse none of which may be used for
commercial purposes.

? Any use customarily incidental to the permitted principal use with use limited to park residents only.

? Maximum frontage to depth ration not to exceed 1 to 4

proximity to certain natural features and bodies of water.
