My passion for teaching is a constant stabilizer in an ever changing curriculum

sphere. I am flexible and adaptable and this is demonstrated through my vast
teaching experience over the past 13 years. I have taught all grade levels from
kindergarten to grade 6. During this time, I have also had a 4 year term as a
Specialist ICT Teacher.

EXPERIENCE

Grade 3-4 Teacher/Spreyton Primary School

This year I am teaching a grade 3-4 combined class. I will be working alongside
five other teachers within my grade sector group. We will spend valuable time
collaborating, planning and designing enriched learning tasks for our students.
2013 -2016

Prep Teacher/Literacy support/Relief/ Spreyton Primary School

For three years I was working in a team teaching capacity on a Prep class. During
this time I developed a sound understanding of the Australian Curriculum
Foundation standards which guided my teaching and assessment standards. I
also worked as a Literacy Support Teacher one day a week, encouraging the
reading, writing and spelling abilities of targeted small groups.
2009-2012 ICT Specialist Teacher/ ICT Co-coordinator/ Spreyton Primary
School
My role as ICT Specialist Teacher provided me with the opportunity to share and
develop my love for all things ICT. I was responsible for planning and
implementing ICT lessons for over 400 students who attended regular weekly
lessons with a very big emphasis on cyber safety, communication and inquiry. As
part of the Specialist ICT Teaching role, I was also the ICT Co-coordinator, liaising
with our school technician, Principal, School Business Manager and an ICT
Committee to ensure our ICT spending budget was allocated to all required
areas.
