Pokmon Storage System, the
transport system, and the computer
networks throughout the region. They
usually only have pet Pokmon.

POKMON FAN CLUB

This specialty organization is a place for like-minded
individuals to show off their prized Pokmon. The
members arent necessarily Trainers and may not
necessarily specialize in Pokmon Battles. Members
are more likely to share tips on how to raise Pokmon
and care for them as well as brag about their favorite
Pokmon whether they own one or not. The Fan Club
is organized by an affable Chairman who
enthusiastically recruits new fans.

NEFARIOUS ORGANIZATIONS
Hidden in plain sight among the citizens of Kanto is an organization up to no
good. They are known to exploit Pokmon for profit, stealing or capturing
rare Pokmon, and

that plague the Kanto
region are said to be the
work of Team Rocket
whose motives and final
goal is unknown.

GYM LEADERS

Throughout the Kanto Region there are special places to train Pokmon called Pokmon Gyms. These Gyms are run by Gym
Leaders who test their students and challengers. As a symbol of overcoming the gyms challenges and defeating the gym leader,

found throughout the mansion.

POKMON LAB
Founded by Mr. Fuji, this laboratory has been the scene of
important scientific discoveries including the revival of
fossilized pokemon and the creation of the virtual pokemon,
Porygon. The Silph Co. had contracted the lab for Porygons
creation. It is quite possible the Lab helped to create the
pokemon transfer system as well; and as such, many people
look to trade their pokemon.

Fire- and Poison-type pokemon can be found within the

Pokmon Mansion. In the surrounding waters, many kinds of
sea-faring pokemon can be found.

FUCHSIA CITY [Gym City,

VOLCANO
A volcano that is seen as safe, without a major eruption in
years, the city of Cinnabar grew up around it. The citys gym
is located at the heart of it. In the 3 years since Team Rockets
takeover of the mainland, the volcano erupted, destroying
most of the island and its self. Only the Pokmon Center was
saved as a refuge.

Cinnabar Island Gym

Blane is the gym leader of Cinnabar Island. His gym is
situated on the northeast side of the island alongside and in
part with the islands volcano. The gym is usually locked to
outsiders and even upon entering, the main battlefield is
hidden behind locked doors that need an answer to a riddle to
be opened. When the volcano erupted, the gym was officially
moved to the Seafoam Islands where gym apprentices provide
a maze to the battleground. He gives out the Volcano Badge.

Embraced in the misty shadows of the final foothills of the
North Kanto Mountains, Lavender Town is both serene and
morose. Its few citizens are nostalgic and melancholy as the
town is most known for the Pokmon Tower, a memorial to
deceased Pokmon. Most travelers go to Lavender town for
the burial of a passed Pokmon and the Pokmon Centers
staff are trained counselors.

Like the Pokmon Fan Club in Vermillion City, this fan club
hosts enthusiastic people who share stories and gossip. These
fans discuss celebrity trainers.

SILPH CO.
The Silph Company stands as the largest building in Saffron

invented many of the products that are sold in Pokemarts
across the region. These items include medicines, technical
machines, and pokeballs. The Silph Co. is active in observing
the characteristics of Pokmon and may have invested in the
development of the first virtual pokemon. The headquarters in
Saffron City is an 11-story maze-like skyscraper. The
president of the company works out of the penthouse.

Saffron Gym
Sabrina, a psychic trainer, runs the Saffron gym after earning
the title of Gym Leader by defeating Kiyo of the Fighting

CERULEAN CAPE
Located in the far northeast of the Kanto region, Cerulean
Cape extends out into the ocean. The most commonly traveled
route to the cape is Route 25 and while it has a beach, the
shores are too rocky for boats to land. The land around the
cape is fairly flat except for a rising seaside cliff. A lighthouse
perches at the top of the cliff to warn passing ships of the
rocks below. A seaside cottage is the home to the lighthouse

otherwise secluded cape. Two freshwater ponds around the
cottage contrast the deep saltwater of the sea.

Route 4 sits on either side of Mt. Moon. The western portion

is small and connects with Route 3 on its southern end. Near

observes Mt. Moon and Route 3 to Pewter City. From the
eastern entrance to Mt. Moon to Cerulean City on Route 4s
eastern side, the ground slopes downward in a steep ravine.
This makes travel from Cerulean to Mt. Moon difficult. Unlike
the eastern part of the route, the western part of Route 4 is lush
and full of greenery on the slope.

Known Wild Pokmon:

Route 3 is a very rocky route and is rough to travel. Not only

is it leading up to Mt. Moon, but the impact of meteorites have
caused deep holes and steep cliffs. The western part of the
route has few trees while the eastern part, which leads up to
Mt. Moon, is barren. While the route runs in a latitudinal
direction, the many outcroppings and cliffs cause the most
direct path to zig-zag longitudinally.

and the flat plains of Center Kanto. One long, forested butte
juts out from the middle of the route with a well-traveled path
on either of the western or eastern side. Hidden away at the
top of the butte overlooking the Kanto Plains is a Pokmon
daycare center. Near the entrance to Saffron is an
Underground Tunnel used as an express bypass to Vermillion

This is the longest north-south stretch of the Kanto Peninsula.

The land rises into a hillock on the eastern side and tall wind
turbines take advantage of the fresh sea breeze that blows
across the route. A copse of planted trees mark the western
edge of the hillock and divides the route from the eastern high
ridge and lower path in the west. One small patch of wild
grass sits on a smaller ridge in the northwest part of the route.
The ridge ends at the southern point of the route and joins up
with the lower part of the route, leading to route 15. Despite
being close to the ocean, the hillock rises too high to surf from
thus only fishing is allowed. This route is popular with school
groups, bikers, and bird keepers who take advantage of the
blowing breeze to release their bird Pokmon high into the
skies.

Entry Points:

Habitats:
Route 17 is also known as the Cycling Road. The only actual
land on the route is both on the north end of the route and the
very south portion of the route. The north end has a small
patch of grass. The suspension bridge of the route which spans
the length of the route has a gradual southerly slope which
makes cycling south very easy and a favorite among
motorcyclists and bicyclists. Lampposts light up the bridge at
night and it is a favored spot to watch ships sailing away from
Vermillion Harbor. Because of the bridge, it is mandatory to
have a bike to traverse the route and keep it handy at all times.

Habitats:
Route 18 lies on the very horn of the Kanto Peninsula. While
generally a very flat land, it has been built up and maintained
due to frequent traffic from the Cycling Road to the north.
Because of the difference in elevation from route 16, Cycling
Road reaches its lowest point in elevation on this route. Safety
barriers prevent bicyclists from falling into the sea, but it also
prevents any fishing from the route. There is only one small
patch of grass south of the main trail and visitors to the

gatehouse love to sit and birdwatch Pokmon that flutter in the

Fairly quiet and rarely visited by trainers due to its secluded
