The abstract should briefly explain the purpose of the research, methodology and
expected outcomes. It is presented separately and must be able to stand alone. It consist
of 150 to 200 words.

Title of Research Proposal

Introduction

The introduction should explain the background of the area of research, importance of the
research topic, its significance and applications. It may contain citations of some classical
studies in the area.

Literature Review

The concept base analysis of the existing studies in the research area should be the part of
the literature review. If there are multiple directions then each should be mentioned in
separate paragraph. Please ensure that every reference cited here is also present in the
reference list (and vice versa).
Citation in text:
Style 1: It has been shown by Robert (2001) for one author or Robert and Bird (1998) for
two authors and Robert et al. (2003) for more than two authors. In this case the reference
list at the end must be in alphabetical order.
Style 2: It has been shown by Robert [1] for one author or Robert and Bird [2] for two
authors and Robert et al. [3] for more than two authors (or simply the reference number).
In this case the references list must be in the order of appearance in the text.
Note: One Department should follow only one style whichever is preferable.

Problem Statement

The proposal contains the statement of the problem. It must contain the detail description
of the research problem to be undertaken. The problem statement should be described in a
paragraph.

Aims and Objectives

The proposal must contain the aims and objectives. Aims and objectives should be given
in the form of bullet points and each point should start with to for example, To describe,
To analyze etc.

5.

Research Methodology

The research methodology should contain techniques / methods, theory or experiment


details regarding the proposed research topic.
