English as a Foreign Language (EFL) Teacher

Worked with the faculty of a secondary school (ages 11-17) as a floating English Teacher in the bilingual social science
and art departments; lead whole-group (30 students) and small-group (5-15 students) activities that facilitated language
learningspeaking, writing, reading, and listening.

Language Tutor

ESL children attending Floridas Head Start Program (ages 3-5).
Administered a series of listening, visual, oral, and writing tests with individual students at various Head Start locations
in Pinellas County, and consulted with the director of program regarding results of assessments

Substitute Teacher (Pre-K through 12th Grade)

Was a resourceful asset to teachers around the county by traveling to various schools and performing teacher duties in
their absence, following lesson and class plans left by teacher or producing last-minute lesson plans. (Specialty subjects:
Language Arts, Visual and Performing Arts, Library/Media).
Hired as long-term elementary school Art Substitute Teacher for spring of School Year 2009-10.

Reading Teacher and Teaching Supervisor


2008-2011-- Institute of Reading Development, Tampa, Florida; Cincinnati, Ohio; San Francisco Bay, California
Taught Summer/Fall Reading Enrichment classes based on curriculum developed by Institute (Levels: Pre-K-Adult).
Assessed student reading levels, and consulted with parents/students about reading progress.
Promoted to Teacher Supervisor from 2010 2011, aiding in the hiring of over 300 new teachers across the U.S. for the 2011
teaching season and helping to develop a new behavior and classroom management program that was applied to the teaching
system.
Assisted in fielding a new book club/extension program for the 2011-2012 fall teaching season.

Art Teacher for ESE (Exceptional Student Education) students, K-12th grade
2009-2010, Woodlawn Community Academy, Clearwater, Florida
Created and taught arts and crafts lessons for exceptional students in kindergarten through twelfth grade for a Christian
ESE Academy.

Conducted classes with care to abilities of students with frequent focus on free expression, creativity, and material
exploration. Related projects to themes, artistic styles, and art history lessons.

Preschool Assistant and Arts Activities Coordinator


2004-2009--Discovery Point Child Development Center, Lutz, Florida
Planned and coordinated reading/writing, arts/crafts, and dance/song activities for toddlers and pre-kindergarten children.
Assisted in the planning and execution of the 2008 and 2009 Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten graduation ceremony as dance
choreographer and MC.
Taught a watercolor class (ages 6-12) in the 2008 summer school program and coordinated an art fundraiser, raising over
$3,000 for the Center. Painted murals on walls and windows for holidays.
