High Velocity Turbine Lube Oil

Flushing
Benchmark Services has the capability of performing high velocity turbine lube oil
system flushes up to 5,000 gpm on your steam or gas powered turbine with the
most extensive variety of oil flushing equipment in the industry!

After setting the system up for a high velocity lube oil flush by removing all
restrictions to flow, oil will be flushed through the lube oil system at approximately
3-5 times its normal flow rate using an external flush pump and filter. This high
volume of oil will remove scale and particulate from the piping and flush it back to
the main oil reservoir where it will be filtered. Thermal shocks to the system will
greatly enhance this cleaning process. The high velocity flush is for the purpose of
cleaning the system. Super clean oil is simply a by-product of that process that
eliminates the need to replace the old turbine oil or the disposal of that oil thereby
saving thousands of dollars plus the peace of mind in knowing that you have a
super clean system and super clean oil. An ounce of prevention is worth tons in
forced outage.
Benchmark Services has performed high velocity turbine lube oil flushing on
turbines manufactured by General Electric, Westinghouse, Siemens, ABB, Alstom,
Mitsubishi, Toshiba, Fuji, Solar, and many others.

Benchmark Services can provide on-site particle counts, using a laser particle counter or a
patch test utilizing closed vacuum system and 0.47 micron membrane filters. An oil analysis can
be provided within 48 hours or less.
With the use of a portable lab provided by Benchmark Services, particle counts may be
accomplished on site in a matter of minutes giving actual counts, 150 ISO, SAE, or NAS Class.
All counts are based on particles per 100 ml, in various sizes. i.e. 5-10 micron, 10-25 micron,
25-50 micron, 50-100 micron & 100-250 micron. Oil analysis may be acquired within 48 hours
or less. Samples may be pulled by customer or Benchmark technician. A minimum of 100 ml of
oil will be required for analysis.

to 5600 gpm, while working with a controlled temperature up to 185 Fahrenheit. All
equipment is wired 50/60 cycles, 480 volts in order to meet both US and
International standards
