Answer all the occupation correctly for the occupational routine hand-out given to each group of students

ii.

Write a simple paragraph using at least 2 appropriate sequence connectors in each row of the comic hand-out

SET INDUCTION

Teacher states what they are going to learn for the day.

5 MINUTES

The teacher gives hand-out of a picture from the comic series Upin & Ipin to each
group of students.

The teacher asks a series of WH questions regarding the picture shown.

15 MINUTES
Rationale:
To integrate the teaching and
recalling the students memory on
sequence connectors and how to
use them properly

The teacher explains about routines and how much it affects our daily lives sequence
connectors in the class

The teacher then elicit responses from the students about their daily routines and
smoothly integrates the grammar teaching of sequence connectors

The teacher uses the example given by the students to show the usage of sequence
connectors correctly and then proceeds on explaining about occupational routines.

PRACTICE

The teacher gives a hand out on occupational routines to the students in groups

15 MINUTES

The teacher then instructs the students find out the occupation, based on the
occupational routine description given on the hand-out

In the same group, the students are asked to read out the each of the description to the
other students as they guess the answers together.

The teacher gives another hand-out to students that show a comic strip of Upin &
Ipin, individually.

The students are required to write, in simple sentences, about what they think is
happening in the comic strip according to each row, using appropriate sequence
connectors.

5 MINUTES

The teacher recalls back on what was learnt on the lesson earlier.
