Research Title: "The Effects of Low Salary to the Performance of the Selected
Employees of San Sebastian College-Recoletos, Manila"
Context and Rationale:
Our research aims to know what are the effects of low salary of the employees of San
Sebastian College-Recoletos, Manila. We researchers want to have a knowledge how
the employees budget their salary in terms of their needs like food, water, electricity and
etc. We the researchers want to know the effects of low salary because we want to give
appropriate conclusion and recommendations for the readers of our research.
General Problem:
The general problem of our research is "How the low salary affects the performance of
an employee?"
Specific Problem:
How the low salary affects the employee when it comes to their: family, leisure, needs:
water, electricity and etc., and to their performance in San Sebastian College-Recoletos,
Manila.
Scope and Limitation:
The research will be conducted inside San Sebastian College-Recoletos,Manila with it's
employees as our respondents. We researchers decided to use an interview to gather
the datas we need but we don't have a set of questions instead we do the free-flowing

interview. Our research will try to find out if the low salary of an employees affects their
performances.
However, as a researchers we face different hindrances like the unavailabilility of the
employees because of their works they need to accomplish and many more. We
researchers believe that it will be a great distraction for us to have a fruitful research.
Research Methodology:
The research design for this study will be qualitative research using a nong-structured
interview or free-flowing interview which uses non-predetermined questions for our
respondents to answer what they want to say. This research will help us to have deeper
understanding of the effects of low salary to the perfoprmance of the employees of San
Sebastian College-Recoletos,Manila.
