MORE INFO
KEARNES
EOG Resources targets the shale oil window of the play and has drilled shale wells in the northern
portion of the county. Notable initial production rates include the Wiatrek Unit with two wells
averaging 857 bopd and 682 mcfd, the Vickers #2H 743 bopd and 444 mcfd, Wagener Unit with four
wells averaging 563 bopd and 478 mcfd, the Dullnig #5H with 1,353 bopd and 1,224 mcfd, the Braune
Unit #3H with 601 bopd and 458 mcfd, and the Greenlow Unit with two wells producing an average of
607 bopd and 386 mcfd.
ATASCOSA
EOG Resources is also active in the county. The companys lease holdings include the Peeler Ranch. A
recent horizontal well in the Jendrusch Gerold Unit produced at initial rates of 830 bopd and 411 mcfd.
DUVAL
EOG Resources has the largest producing operations in the county.
GONZALES
EOG Resources is the most active operator in the county. Well results are very positive as the company
has reported IPs at its Edwards, Sweet Unit, HFS Unit, Hill Unit #2H, Hansen Kullin #3H, and the
Ullman #2H leases averaged initial production rates (IP rates) in excess of 1,000 bbls/d and almost 1
mmcfd.
LA SALLE
EOG is most active in the north eastern part of the county where the Eagle Ford produces mostly oil.
Recent horizontal wells include EOGs Hoff Unit (Hoff Ranch) where the company drilled 7 wells that
averaged 683 bopd and 391 mcfd and EOGs Naylor Jones leases where 2 wells averaged 873 bopd
and 391 mcfd.

EOG Resources led the push into the oil window of the Eagle Ford Shale oil play. The company began
leasing in the oil window before many thought producing liquids from the formation would yield

economic wells. The company has since amassed a position of almost 650,000 acres that stretches from
Gonzales County down to La Salle and Webb counties. Drilling is concentrated in the oil window of the
play where the company drills extended reach horizontal wells to recover commercial quantities of oil.
The company estimates the play will contribute 1.6 Billion boe of potential reserves to the company over
the lifetime of the asset.
EOG Resources, Inc. is a large independent (non-integrated) oil and natural gas company that operates
in the Eagle Ford Shale. The company has proved reserves in the United States, Canada, offshore
Trinidad and the United Kingdoms North Sea. EOG stock trades on the NYSE under the ticker EOG.
EOGs strategy concentrates on growth through exploration with the drillbit. EOG is one of the most
active drillers in both the United States and Canada, while building a reputation of delivering organic
growth. Some of their largest production increases have come from EOGs Central Texas, East Texas,
North Louisiana, South Texas and Rocky Mountain operating areas. Activity in the Eagle Ford Shale
of South Texas has contributed significantly to the companys reserves and the company will be
developing the Eagle Ford for many years to come.

major oil companies and has operated since1909 when it was founded as the Anglo-Persian Oil
Company by William Knox DArcy.

Texas & Texas Panhandle BPs operations in the Anadarko Basin are extensive with operating
responsibilities for approximately 1,900 wells. Initially discovered in 1917, the basin is located on about
15,000 square miles in western Oklahoma and the Texas panhandle. The company's local operations
center is located in Amarillo, Texas.

East Texas BPs operations center in Longview, Texas, predominantly operates gas wells in eastern
Texas. The East Texas basin is one of North Americas most prolific oil and gas production areas,
where BP operates over 900 wells from conventional and tight gas reservoirs. In 2009 BP furthered its
entry investment in the US shale plays through a joint venture with Lewis Energy in the Eagle Ford
shale located in South Texas.
