German Extracurricular Activities

Spring 2017

As part of the course participation grade, students are required to participate in a

minimum of two extracurricular activities related to German, Austrian, or Swiss
culture. A list of possible activities is provided below and will be updated throughout
the semester (please keep checking back). Only one of your activities can be foodrelated.
Students will be required to show proof of the events attended (pay stubs, etc.)
and write a very brief report (50 words max.) on what they learned, to be
handed in to the instructor at any point before the end of term. Other suggestions
are always welcome, but have to be approved by the instructor in advance.
For updates and other suggestions for activities and links, please check the

Vic Symphony sound check program: anyone ages 15-35 only has to pay $13/ticket,
and can even bring a guest at the same price. The program even sends out
newsletters to tell you when the sound check is, as they're sometimes the day
before the concert. http://victoriasymphony.ca/tickets/vs-soundcheck/
