Plate 2- A: Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity equipment (Matest Co.,
Model C 373), B: Ultrasonic test used for control specimens,
C: Rebound number test measurements of control cylinder
specimens for different concrete mixes
Conclusions:
In conclusion, we can observe that:
i.
The combined rebound and pulse velocity test
methods gives good results for any strength level.
ii.
From non-destructive test results (ultrasonic pulse
velocity), an empirical formula is proposed to predict
concrete compression strength f' c (MPa) and concrete
modulus of elasticity (GPa) depending on wave pulse
velocity (km/sec) with COV = 0.999 and COV =
0.994, respectively for NWAC and SLWAC:
f c
= 10.7085V 0.8086
Ec = 9.5844 V 0.7467
