Summary - This report presents the bases used to
manufacture a prototype of an unmanned prototype based on
cumulative solar energy, in addition a brief explanation of the
physical principles used for the manufacture
Introdution

Solar energy is a renewable energy source with high

projections and applications, this type of energy has been
chosen because of its ease of production,
in addition to that with the manufacture of a small voltage
regulator and a rechargeable source, this can be better
exploited.
The panel used for the prototype design was chosen with
a value of 12 volts Because the rechargeable source has a
value Vrms = 8.4 volts, So you need a higher voltage source
so that it can provide you with power that you can store.
In order to achieve the proper load without causing damage
to the battery due to overload, a voltage regulator was
manufactured from 5 to 16 volts, which is connected to the
solar panel and to the battery which in turn is connected to
the electric motor, providing an average power of 1.6 W
The unmanned prototype made for the ingenious contest
has a Solar source which is connected to a battery where
solar energy will be stored in the form of electric energy, by
means of a voltage regulator in order not to overcharge the
battery.

OPERATION
Solar Panel
It collects the solar energy to transform it into electrical
(clean energy), and is connected to a simple voltage
regulator, which in turn is connected to a battery so that the
battery can be charged (in series )
Voltage Regulator
It regulates the voltage that it introduces in the rechargeable
battery to avoid the overloads and the fault of the source, is
composed by a regulator of voltage LM317T, and a
potentiometer (Of 5 K by a much more efficient for the
connection)
Rechargeable Battery
It functions as a solar energy accumulator, and as a power
source for the electric motor, the positive output of the
charger is connected to the middle terminal of the switch and
the negative output is connected to the positive terminal of
the electric motor, this allows the possibility of turning on
And turn off

MAIN PARTS

Switch
It controls the current flow from the source to the electric
motor, for this the positive output of the source is connected
to the middle terminal and the right terminal to the positive
output of the motor

OLAR PANEL 12 V Y 100 mlA

VOLTAGE REGULATOR 5-16 V
RECHARGEABLE BATTERY 9 V Y 175 mlA

LOWER BODYWORK

Connection
The connection allows the engine to be turned in reverse and
due to the arrangement of the gears, the gears move the car
forward (this is because the engine is on the left side of the
gear)

USED MATERIALS

Electric Motor
It is a recycled engine of a CD reader according to data
investigated works in DC and varies between 5-6 V

Voltage Regulator
It is responsible for regulating a voltage input from a high
source to a low source, and thus prevent breakdowns
