Country Club which will also be reflected in your after hours behavior and dress. Your
behavior, good manners, and professional dress both on-site and off-site indicates to
your supervisors, colleagues, guests, and friends that you take pride in your work and are
proud of your place of employment.
All staff are expected to be groomed for work, to be at their work station and be
ready to work at least 5 minutes before their scheduled shift. Remember, staff dress code
should be in place before you arrive to work.
Clothing
Your clothing should be clean and in good condition upon arrival each morning.
Wearing khaki pants/jeans (or shorts) and the staff shirt provided is required while you
are working. Your footwear should be running shoes or boots only. Steel toe boots are
required for operating hand mowers. Wearing flip flops or open-toed sandals is not
allowed while you are on duty. You may be required to work in the rain, so we
recommend each person bring some type of rain gear.
A hard hat will be provided for you- they are mandatory for specified jobs that
require you to work in high traffic areas.

In the event of a problem with a customer, avoid confrontation. Direct the
customer complaint to your supervisor.
Please be careful and courteous while operating equipment or vehicles. A machine

please book them well in advance. Normally we do not book days off for more than one
person at a time. Switching weekend shifts is allowed, but all switches must be approved
by Kelly or Josh.. Please fill in your time sheets daily.
daily
As mentioned earlier, I prefer that you be here at least 5 minutes before your shift
begins to get your things together and get ready to go to work. If you are ill and unable
to report for your shift please call or text and let us know.
Late policy: It is very difficult to operate a good business when employees show
up late for work. If you are running a couple of minutes late you can call or text your
supervisor and let them know you will be there momentarily, Im ok with that on the odd
occasion, up to once a month, and you wont be penalized for it. However, if youre
more than 10 minutes late we will likely need to shuffle our job assignments- and you
will be charged with a late, whether you text or not.
First late warning
Second late - warning
Third late sent home for the day without pay
Fourth late termination.
Lost and Found
Any articles found on the golf course should be turned into your manager or the
pro shop as soon as possible so it can be returned to the owner before he/she leaves.
Please let whoever accepts the article know where and when it was found.
Employee as a Customer
We encourage our full time employees (20+ hr/week) to use the golf course
whenever it is not busy. Please call the pro shop on the day youd like to play to check on
availability of tee times. We prefer that you dont ask to book during prime golf times,
especially on weekends. Remember that proper attire is required to play golf. Also
remember that as an employee still on the work site, you are a company representative
even though you are not on shift, and this should be reflected in your behavior.
Employees will occasionally be allowed to bring family members out as guests- they will
be charged a reduced green fee of $35.00 -please have Kelly or Josh book your guests in
for you.

Pay Day
You will get paid twice monthly (on the 11th and 26th) with the cutoff day for
payroll being the 6th and 21st of each month. Vacation pay will be added to your regular
pay each time you get paid. Our work weeks are from Saturday midnight to Saturday
midnight, for the purpose of calculating the number of regular and OT hours you work
each week.
Telephones
Please get permission before using office phones. Mobile phone use should be
restricted to break times while you are on shift- if you need to use your phone during
work for an important matter please let us know youre expecting a call, otherwise keep it
in your pocket.
