Book: While Food Politics (Nestle, 2013) is mostly about the political influences on
nutrition and health in the US, there is also a good amount of information that explores
some of the economic reasons for food choices within the US. Throughout the reading
there is information about economic impact on industries providing foods; consumers
having to purchase foods; as well as the personal and government costs associated with
obesity.
