Procedure:

1.

Sift Carbopol * 940 Polymer into the vortex of rapidly agitating,

room temperature deionized water. Mix until uniform dispersion is
produced.

2.

Add glycerin with moderate agitation.

3.

Blend propylene glycol and parabens (PART B) in a side vessel

using heat until clear. Cool mixture to 45C and add slowly to
PART A with moderate agitation.

4.

Add triethanolamine. Mix with sweeping agitation until a clear and

uniform gel is obtained.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:
If deionized water is not available, 0.1% disodium EDTA should be
added to the formula to prevent viscosity loss and discoloration due to
hard water. Adding disodium EDTA will lower the viscosity and may
reduce the clarity slightly.
