BOOK II:

GOD CONSCIOUSNESS

Introduction
This book is an integral part of the God consciousness project. It was created through
the Voice of God in me. It was spoken as the Word of God for the new age.
God consciousness tells in details what the real Truth of God and Path to God are. And
it tells that both through parables and science. The first - activating our subconscious, the
second - our logical (conscious) understanding of God, Truth and Path. Thus, the serious
reader, step by step, becomes really conscious of the real God. Do not hesitate! This
Knowledge is accessible to everyone.
But please, read it a step at a time! With your own specific pace of advancement. Rushing
through it will cast you out of it.
So, trust in God!

Initial Review: At the Burning Bush.

In the name of God, the One!
Let us recall Exodus (ch 3):
13. Then Moses said to God, ...when I come to the children ... and say to them: The
God ... has sent me to you. And they say to me: What is his name? What shall I say to them?
14. And God said to Moses, I AM WHO I AM. And He said, Thus you shall say
to the children ...: I AM has sent me to you.
This is how God presented Himself before a prophet.
But what actually he meant by that? What is this I that He refers to? What is His
I? ...
Well, to answer these questions we shall have to first take a risk. The risk of going out
of the walls of our present safe limited consciousness. The risk to even lose these walls. And
never have them back ...
So,are we ready?
If we are, then let us have a key. The key to the first gate in our walls.

Key 1: What is I.
In the name of God, the One!
We said we do not understand what this I of God is. But we can understand what our
own I is. And this might help us?
What is my I?
My I is my body, each of us shall answer.
Why?
Because, my body is the wholeness through which I exist. It is the oneness of my
organism, of ME.
Yes,this is true. The oneness of organism is the basic reason for its existence and
functioning.
And in the same time, organism is built by elements that are one whole within themselves,
too: organs, tissues, biocells, biomolecules, atoms, etc. Each of them is one within. And one
without. One with everything around ...
Be One! Be a WHOLE! Is this the Supreme Commandment that every single particle
of nature obeys? And this Commandment makes every particle exist and function properly?
And it makes every particle to be a complete whole within itself? As well as, an integrated
whole with everything around it ? With everything that exists? With all that is? No matter how
large or lasting this all that is may be?
And this means that my I is not limited to my body only? My I is everything around me,
too? My I is the all that is? I am the all that is?

59

Key 2: The real me.

In the name of God, the One!
We know that the organism and all that is out of it (let us name it environment) are one
indivisible whole. They are made up of the same particles and they are manifestations of the
same laws of nature - biological, chemical, physical, astrophysical, etc. According to these
laws, organism and environment interact and interrelate with each other, thus forming one
inseverable whole.
For instance, if we regard organism and environment as information systems, we shall see
that through information interactions and interrelations they will form an information oneness
devoid of the inner boundaries that would impede those interactions and interrelations. And it
is all the same if we regard organism and environment as material or energy systems - organism
and environment merge and become a whole devoid of inner boundaries. And this is how, in
fact, my organism goes beyond its boundaries; and becomes the Whole.
So, can we see now that I am the Whole? I am the all that is?
Maybe! we shall answer. But the all that is has sometimes another name, too. And
this name is God. So, does this mean that my real I is God? I am God?

Key 3: The One and Only I.

In the name of God, the One!
If God is all that is and I am all that is then Gods I and my I are one. One and the
same I. And any difference between Gods I and my I is a difference of viewpoints. A
difference of concepts. But in reality, my I is Gods I, I = I, one = One. There is only one real
I: God.
This is how God has created everything to exist. This is how God has commanded
everything to exist. And every single particle of nature and the whole nature obeys this
Commandment: To be One. To be one I. Be I ! commands God and every single particle
of nature, as well as the whole Creation, becomes an I. An I within, and an I without. One
I with everything that exists. One I with the all that is. And this is how our own I is created
and exists, too. And this is why we could know Gods I through our own I. It is one and the
same I. The One and Only real I: God.
And this is how, too, we could know why God names Himself: I AM. We could know
what I AM means through knowing our real I. We could know God through knowing our
own true I.
So, could we open to this Knowledge now?

PASS OVER
Maybe for a first time in his life he did something spontaneously. He just wished it and
went after it.
He met the child in the grey streets of the city. The child was dressed in a white dress.
And the dress was shining. And the childs eyes were shining, too. And they were looking into
HIS eyes.
The man stopped there before the little creature. And he was about to ask all the required
questions under such circumstances. But the child just smiled, still calling him with its eyes.
And the child turned and walked away.
Where are you going... the man heard himself whisper.
And then the man followed the child. He just did it.
And the man went after the child. And they walked out of the city. And they entered the
wood beyond it. And they started to climb the mountain that the wood covered. And they went
on and on amidst the soft silent silhouettes of the trees, along the moss-dressed rocks. Until
his little guide took him out of the wood and into the open. And deeply breathing in the pure
air here the man looked around.
In front of him he saw a magnificent garden, in the middle of which a calm crystal lake
was situated surrounded by clouds of colourful flowers...
But alas, between him and this garden there was a precipice. And over the precipice only
an old wooden bridge lay, hanging on old ropes, groaning helplessly under each touch of wind.
From the depth of the precipice a roar of a river came. And the man stopped. And he stepped
back.
And the child stopped, too, and turned. And again the loving smile came out of its eyes.
And again the man felt this love to enter him and care for him. And the child said, Do not
be afraid! Its all in the mind.
And the child walked on the bridge and went to the other side and waited there, still
smiling kindly.
And the man sighed. And then he stepped on the bridge, too... The bridge shivered under
his weight. And so did the man. And the man made a step more. The bridge moaned and
rocked. And so did the man. And the man made a step more, and more. The bridge quaked
wildly, its ropes strained painfully their tendons. And so did the man in terror... But its all
in the mind, the man repeated to himself. Its all in my mind! And the man made a real
effort of his will. And he commanded his fear out and his faith in. And he commanded to his
mind the image of a broad stone-paved road he was walking on with a slow ease...
Next, the man found himself at the side of the crystal lake, surrounded by flowers,
seated by the beautiful child, holding its hand... But the man turned his head back and
listened. Away there, it seemed to him, a distant roar of a river was heard. Or was it all
an illusion?

Review
In the name of God, the One!
What we really did until now was starting to build up the knowledge of our real I. We
got the idea of Who and What our real I is.
But having an idea is not enough to satisfy our thirst for I-knowledge? We need more?
We feel like flying far beyond the walls of our present attitude of mind? And further on and
on?. .. But do we really have the daring, the determination to do so?
Well, let us now study our determination and the way to really determine our mind on our
real I.

Key 4: Free to know.

In the name of God, the One!
If we have accepted now that our real I is God, we should have realized, too, that in our
nature we are actually free from any boundaries between me and Me, between I and I (God).
We are free from all obstacles and limits between me and Me - I = I (God).
Therefore, there are no obstacles and limits to know our real I, too. We are absolutely free
to know the real I - God. Hence the conclusion that any hesitation of whether we can know
God or not is baseless.
And hence the understanding that there are no limits or obstacles before our determination
to know the real I, too.
Well, we shall tell in doubt again, but every single moment of our life we run across
obstacles and limits. And they feel very real. What about them?

Key 5: The limitation of I.

In the name of God, the One!
Yes, it is rather hard to believe that in a world of constant conflict and competition my
I is free from limits. Limits seem all-pervasive here.
But we all know what relativity is. And we know that it is all a question of a viewpoint.
And my viewpoint is my I. Always. Therefore, it is all a question of what I believe my real
I is. Or in other words, it all depends on my concept of the I. And this means that the limits
of I are but concepts. According to our concept of the real I we give the I its size, its shape,
its lasting. And thus, we create our limits. And we believe them to be absolute reality.
And indeed, if I believe my I is the physiological body only, I shall always be limited
within this body. And I shall never agree to go beyond its walls.
And if I conceive my I as being my soul only, I shall always be limited to this soul. And
62

I shall never dare go beyond its self-imposed boundaries.

But if I know that my real I is the all that is, then what limits shall I see and where?
What walls will stop me from being absolutely limitless?
Now wait! Isnt a concept like this too dangerous? we shall disagree once more. If I
believe that I am absolutely limitless, I might be tempted to do whatever I wish, including all
evil, theft, rape, killing, destruction... Arent there at least any moral limits?
If I am the all that is, obviously, there is no one else to kill and destroy but myself,
my I. There is nothing out of the all that is. So, whatever evil I do, I do it to myself only.
Violence I give and violence I get in return. Lies I tell and lies I take. Hatred I buy, but with
hatred I have paid. The grave I dig is a grave for me.
And it is all the same if I do good. I do it to myself only. If I give I give to Myself. If
I help I help Me. If I comfort I comfort the whole I. If I love all that is, all that is loves
me.
It is all me asking Me; and answering.
And again it all depends solely on my concept of the real I.
Because, if I believe my I is my body only, I shall always have to battle for its survival.
And in this battle I shall be forced to do evil. Only the stronger survives.
And if I believe my I is but my soul, I shall always have to battle for its salvation. But
every battle will be a battle against Me only, an evil against my I. No one else exists.
But if I know my I is the all that is, then who will I battle and why? Whom shall I wish
to do evil, theft, rape, killing, destruction?
If I know that my real I is the all that is, I shall surely do to all that is only what
I want it do to me. And the all that is will do the same, too. Because we are one and the
same. We are one Whole. One and Only I - God.
And in this Oneness where do we see immorality or limits to know God?
Well, we shall tell, still in an unbelief, but what if Im just scared to know the real I,
to know God? What about fear?

Key 6: Fear.
In the name of God, the One!
Alas, fear is everywhere. Fear of pain, fear of loneliness, fear of uncertainty, fear of death,
fear of the unknown, fear of everything. Fear has myriads of faces.
Yet, we all know that the basic reason for fear is always the same - the instinct of selfpreservation. The instinct to preserve my I from destruction. Therefore, fear is but a derivative
from my concept of my real I. It is the instinct to protect this concept, this I. And hence, the
faces of my fears derive from my concept of myself.
And indeed, if I believe my I is my body only, I shall always have to battle for its survival.
And so, I shall always be afraid of all that is not my I, naming it my enemy.
And if I conceive my I as being my soul only, I shall always have to battle for its salvation.
And so, I shall always be afraid of all that is not my righteous I, naming it the Evil, the
63

Satan, etc.
But if I know that I am the all that is what shall I be afraid of and why?
If I know that I am the all that is, I shall surely do to all that is only what I want
it do to me. And all that is will do the same, too. Because we are one and the same. We
are one Whole. One and Only I - God.
Therefore, the I will not even think about doing evil to the I, to me. And this means that
the me has nothing to fear from.
And hence, fear cannot be a limit or an obstacle before determination. The determination
to really know the real I.
So, might we say now that we are determined?

Review
In the name of God, the One!
After we got an idea of what our real I is, we began seeking for the determination to really
know the real I.
But now we understand that a determination to know God is hardly realizable without a
concentration on God. Without such a concentration we cannot safely dive into the abyss of
I-knowledge.
So, with the next three keys we would see how concentration on the real I could be
created. The concentration on the sole Goal of knowledge - God.

The Word:
In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate!
Say: God is One God; the eternal God. He gives no birth, He is not born and there is
no one alike Him.
(The Koran, ch 112 )

Key 7: Concentration on I.
In the name of God, the One!
Well, focusing our mind on the One and Only God, beyond His many names and images,
beyond ideological fabrications, beyond religious rivalries, is the only way to true concentration on Him. And this focusing, as we know, requires a strong will and faith. But alas, they
both dont last. And when they fade, our desire to know God fades, too.
Therefore, what we need is a powerful inner drive to concentrate on God, rather than an
inculcation of will. We need a mighty motivation deep in our mind and soul to unfailingly last
and lead us toward the true knowledge of our true I (God).
So, what is this motivation?
64

Key 8: A Motivation to know.

In the name of God, the One!
Yes, we know the answer. It is: Love. Love is the mightiest motivation for complete
concentration on the beloved. Deep within our hearts each of us knows that for love we are
capable of doing miracles. If I really love and know that I am really loved, then between me
and my beloved there will be no doubt, no battle, no fear, rejection, obstacles, limits. In love
we shall be one.
And it will be all the same if this beloved is my real I - God. In love we shall be one. We
shall be One and Only I.
And then, what obstacles there will be to know my own I?
Well, we shall say, still in hesitation, but if I become one I with God, what will happen
to my present limited I? Will my personality be annihilated?

Key 9: The Devotion of I.

In the name of God, the One!
Yes, if I am completely in love with my real I (God), I shall surely be completely absorbed
in this love. And so, I shall surely be completely devoted to my Beloved, even to the point
of completely merging with Him, of completely uniting with Him. In One and Only I.
Thus, the limits of my selfish I will be eradicated.
But whether I shall see this eradication of egoism as annihilation of my real I depends on
my concept of my real I again.
Because, if I believe my real I is my physiological body only, I shall always have to
preserve its limits. And so, any out-of-limits devotion might seem to me like annihilation of
my I.
And if I believe my I is but my soul, I shall always have to conserve its shell of sinlessness.
And so, a devotion might seem to me like a sinful possession of my soul.
But if I know that I am the all that is, from what annihilation shall I protect my I and
why? What will destroy and possess me?
If I know that I am the all that is, then each devotion to the real I will be just an
identification with my real I. Each devoting to the real I will be becoming the real I. I shall
be really I. I shall be really Me.
Then what personality shall I lose and where?
The more profound is my loving devotion to God ( I ), the more complete, whole, One
my personality, my I will be. Until we unite in the One and Only Real I.
And then what will limit me to really know Myself?
Yes indeed, we shall see the point now, it is well known that Muslims name the essence
65

of their religion Complete Devotion (Islam in Arabic). And most Hindus name the essence
of their devotion Becoming One (Yoga in Sanskrit). And the word religion itself means
Re-union in Latin.
And this Devotion, Reunion, Oneness with God is the only way we can REALLY know
God. Completely.

THE LIGHT
Once upon a time there lived a wizard. And he was a good wizard. And all people loved
him and went to him for help. And he helped them with his magic powers. Just with a look
he could see into their hearts. And he could tell them their troubles, their illnesses, their past
and future, their innermost dreams, their dearest wishes.
He could see their hearts standing open and a light coming out from within an
unfathomable depth. The light was gentle and pure, yet powerful with its golden brilliance.
And into this light he beheld strange visions. He beheld gardens filled with flowers; and birds
flying free in the clear blue skies; mountains rising mighty and high; and stately palaces made
of white marble and precious stones; and hidden treasures and monsters that guarded them;
and deep dark woods dwelled by lost sad creatures; and huge fires raging at collapsing houses
and panicked people; and ugly black faces he beheld and eyes in terror...
And the wizard helped and helped and helped all these people.
Until, one day, he found out he was seriously ill and exhausted to death.
And well, he lay down in his neat bed and began to wait for the end peacefully.
But then, incidentally, a child came in just to bring him fresh flowers and some milk. And
the wizard, by force of habit, looked at the child and saw its heart standing open, too, and a
mighty light coming out from within it.
And, all of a sudden, he felt strongly attracted toward this light. And he felt entering it
; and completely sinking into it. And he saw that - in here - all things shone with a pure
peaceful radiance. There were luminous flowers and trees and animals here; and luminous
people and cities and rivers ; and mountains and seas and skies. And the whole Earth was here,
shining from within, and all the planets and all the stars and all the cosmic winds of Universe...
And then the astounded wizard saw all the things here to slowly start dissolving and
dissolving into the mighty light, as if melting into it. And he saw them lose their forms and
lineaments and limitations and become one with the light.
And there, the wizard found out that his heart had opened, too. And the same mighty light
was coming out from within it. And this light was merging into the limitless light around.
And the wizard felt he was limitless here, also; and was one with the light.
And only now he realized What this light was.

Review
In the name of God, the One!
Up to now we endeavoured to create our realistic concept of the I,our determination to
know the I and our concentration on the I.
Thus, in fact, we sought to build up our realistic attitude toward the process of really
knowing the I. A realistic attitude toward the real I. The attitude that is to be the steady
foundation on which our knowledge will be raised.
And so, this attitude became the first level of our knowledge. The knowledge of God.
But a realistic attitude toward the real I is not enough. We need a realistic attitude toward
our imaginary I, too. The I that I imagine is my body, my physiological organism, my mind,
consciousness, soul, etc.
Therefore, with the next three triads of keys, we should see what our imaginary I really is.
And this will become our second level of I-knowledge.

Key 10: The limited I.

In the name of God, the One!
What is my imaginary I? The I locked within my body and mind.
Well, it is all a question of concept again. Our concept of our real I.
Because, if I believe my I is my physiological body and mind only, I shall imagine them
to be the sole reality that matters to me. They will be my whole reality. And hence, such things
as soul, religion, God will not exist for me at all. They will be imaginary to me.
And if I conceive my I as being my soul only, I shall believe my soul is all that is real.
And therefore, such things as body, mind, material world might be rejected as evil illusions.
But if I know my I is the all that is, then I shall see this limited within the body and
mind I just as being an instrument of my real I. An instrument for the fulfilment of Gods
Commandment: Be I! A very real instrument for a very real fulfilment. The only
instrument that I have.
So, shall we see now how this instrument works for the fulfilment of Gods
Commandment.

Key 11: Evolving through the I.

In the name of God, the One!
Commanding: Be I! the real I (God) must instantly obey and fulfil His own
Commandment. There exists no one else to carry It out.
This is why the I (God) instantly produces out of Himself countless, limited within their
67

forms and duration, within their bodies and minds, particles. *(Why and how God does so we
shall see in the second part of God consciousness.) Each of these particles instantly starts
to obey and fulfil the Commandment: Be I! And thus, each particle instantly becomes an I
in itself. And so, it limits itself within the form and duration, within the body and mind of its
particular I.
But to really fulfil the Commandment each I must become one I with the whole I - the
all that is. Therefore, each I must destroy all the limits between itself and the real I. And
then, unlimited, to become One with the real I. To be really I.
Alas, we know that this destruction of limits cannot happen in an instant. This process
needs a long long evolution. In it, our instrument - the limited I - must take us through
consecutive levels, in order to take us to the final level - Oneness with I.
So, what are these levels?
Let us contemplate the following figure:

Fig. 1. Levels of Is inner evolution.

These are the levels through which our instrument takes us destroying our limits. And
we can see that it does so by transforming our relations with our real I - God. Until we
materialize our Oneness with God.
This is how our instrument works.
And now, this is how it does it on each single level, as well.

68

Key 12: The levels of I.

In the name of God, the One!
1. Resistance to I. (See fig. 1) In this relationship with God (I) the limited I dwells in
complete ignorance. It imagines that its real I is its body and mind only. And it imagines that
all environment is hostile. And this is why it starts to defend itself against all that surrounds
it, against all that is. And so, it enters in a never-ending battle with the all that is. And this
is how it starts its war and resistance to God. God Who is the all that is. And in this war
it uses rather odd arms - money, corruption, hypocrisy, treachery, cruelty, violence, H-bombs...
But it never realizes that all this, time and time again, is just the obeying to the Gods
Commandment: Be I! Though, in a rather mindless way.
2. Defeat from I. Here, too, the relationship of war with God (I) remains. But how
could I win the battle against my own Self!?. .. And soon the battle is lost. And the illusions
of I are defeated. And this leads to the destruction of our illusive concepts of I. Which
destruction can open now our gates to the realistic concept of I.
3. Trust in I. At this level of relationship with God we are, at last, opened to the real
knowledge of God. And with opening comes believing. We trust God and let Him lead us. On
this level we may become worshippers or monks obeying sincerely the Will of the One. But
still we do not really understand this Oneness of I. And this is why we may still divide the
world to good and evil, to my God and their Devil. And this division of mind will
make us still hesitant.
But hesitation is a constant quest, too. So, step by step, we come nearer and nearer to
the real understanding, to the actual realization of the I.
4. Realization of I. At this level we acquire real knowledge of the I. We know now that
our real I is God, that my real I is the all that is. And therefore, nothing is hostile or at war
with me. And I know that the only realistic relationship with the all that is is love and
complete devotion to the Beloved... But alas, this knowledge is still very much theoretical.
What I need is to actually practise this knowledge. In everything I do.
And the first practical thing to do is to actually stop battling God.
5. Peace with I. So, we evolve to a level on which we come to peace with God, to peace
with all that is. No dramatic conflicts burn in our minds any more. No hatred tortures us
night and day. Gradually, we calm ourselves down and become tolerant to and sympathetic
with the whole world, with all that is. And this is how, bit by bit, we learn to love the whole
of our real I.
6. Falling in love with I. The real love has appeared in our hearts now - the love of
God. The love for the all that is. And this love starts to deepen and deepen, engulfing us
within the bliss of a love- affair, completely concentrating us on our sweet Beloved.
7. Concentration on I. And in this loving concentration we do everything out of love,
by the love and for the love of God. And so, completely concentrated on my real I, I become
purified from my imaginary I, purified of all that is illusion. And, one by one, the limits,
boundaries, walls of illusions fall. And I behold God. Personally. And this magnificent sight
makes me become completely devoted to God.
69

8. Devotion to I. And here, even though the veil of the body and mind might still exist
between me and Myself, I want to come back into my limited I no more. Because, in this
devoted relationship with God, I find that God is devoted to His I, too. And this I is me. God
is devoted to me. And now I can know His real love for me. And I know there is only one
step more:
9. Oneness with I. At this final level no limits, no boundaries between me and God
exist. I am limitless, I am the Whole, I am REALLY the all that is. And my imaginary I is
gone. I need this instrument no more.

The Word:
1. To everything there is a time, a time there is for each thing under heaven:
2.a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pull off what is
planted;
3.a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to destroy, and a time to build;...
8. a time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace;...
10. I have seen this God-given mindfulness at which the sons of men are to work.
11. God has made everything beautiful in its time, and has put eternity in their hearts...
( Ecclesiastes, ch 3 )

Review
In the name of God, the One!
So, after having the realistic attitude toward our real I, we started building up a realistic
attitude toward our imaginary I, too.
First, we knew what this imaginary I really is. And then we found that this I of illusions
passes through a long long evolution, in order to become the real I again.
But it is obvious that for this evolution we need certain abilities to evolve. Abilities which
are native to the imaginary I - our only instrument for evolution.
So, what are these abilities?

Key 13: The ability to realize.

In the name of God, the One!
To start our evolution of I-knowledge we certainly need the ability to know, to realize.
But how this ability would work for the limited I?
Let us have an example.
If I meet an interesting person, the first thing I naturally feel about him is curiosity. This
curiosity, then, makes me start collecting information about this person. And through
collecting information I come to know him.
And it will be all the same if this Person is my real I - God.
70

Moreover, in such an accumulation of knowledge we accumulate, too, the pleasure of

knowing Gods charming character and qualities. The more we know about God the more our
hearts fill with the desire to know Him, with the desire for Him. And this is how we come to
the only realistic attitude toward Him - Love.

Key 14: The ability to love.

In the name of God, the One!
How love could make the limited I evolve?
Let us continue with the same example.
By accumulating enough knowledge we have become enamoured of the interesting person.
He is our one and only beloved. We think of him only, we want him only, we crave for him
only. And thus, our beloved becomes the sole object on which we concentrate the whole of
our attention, the whole of our consciousness, the whole of our life. We become absorbed in
him. And it will be all the same if this Beloved is our real I - God. With our ability to love
we become more and more attracted to Him. And the closer we come to Him the deeper our
concentration on Him is; the more complete our sinking into His blissful presence is. Until we
attain to the only realistic relationship with God - complete Devotion to our Beloved.

Key 15: The ability of Devotion.

In the name of God, the One!
How this devotion makes limited I go up the evolution?
Let us continue with our example.
By accumulating enough love we have gradually become completely devoted to our
beloved. Everything we do we do it out of love, by the love and for the love of him. We are
capable of miracles to make him happy. The only thing we want is to never be away from him.
He is the reason we live for. His life is our life, his thoughts are our thoughts, his will is our
will. We are so devoted to him that we almost identify with him.
And it will be all the same if this absolute Beloved is our real I - God. With our ability
to devote we become more and more united with Him. And the more boundaries between me
and Me disappear the more me become really Me; the more we become One; the more we
come to the final point of evolution - Oneness with God.
And when, at last, we reach this point, the work of our instrument is done. Completely.

71

Review
In the name of God, the One!
Thus far, within this second level of I-knowledge, we knew our imaginary I, its evolution
to the real I, and its abilities to evolve.
And knowing all this, we could now draw the conclusion that this is how God has
PROGRAMMED us. God has programmed us to have this very organism, to go up precisely
this evolution, with exactly these abilities to evolve, in order to realize the Oneness of the real
I.
So, next we would know how this program works through our instrument - the limited
I.

Key 16: The programming of limitation.

In the name of God, the One!
It is well known that the structure and functioning of our physiological organism is
programmed by the medium of a genetic plan. The genetic material - the chromosome
molecules in the nucleus of each biocell - contains the program of all our existence and
development, of all our abilities and patterns of behaviour.
At the moment of conception, the genetic program starts to work and begins building up
an embryo, then a foetus, then a new-born baby, etc. Through physiological processes the
genetic program starts to materialize itself.
But alas, this materialization is usually incomplete. The complete materialization of
genetic program is limited by the conditions of its environment. Only these parts of the
program that are allowed by conditions to materialize do so. All other parts remain latent.
Realization of program is only within the limits of conditions. Realization of program is
limited.
And this is how my organism becomes limited. And so, my abilities become limited, my
consciousness becomes limited, my I becomes limited.
And this is how, consequently, my concept of I becomes limited, my attitude toward real
I (God) becomes limited, relationships with real I become limited. And this is how my
imaginary I is created and lives.
And this imaginary I - firmly believing its I is its body and mind only - starts to defend
the boundaries of the I. Using all its abilities. And this way it might stay limited forever...
But could there be another way?

72

Key 17: Programming of self-realization.

In the name of God, the One!
In our organism, the material vehicle of consciousness and realization is the nervous
system.
So, how does this vehicle work in the limited I?
The nervous system is made up of biocells named neurons. Each neuron comprises a
body and its processes named axons and dendrites. These processes connect all neurons
in a network which we name nervous system (NS). The NS collects information from
without and from within the organism, transmits it wherever necessary and cultivates it in
order to adequately react and adapt organism to the conditions of the environment.
And this is how realization works, too. Via neuron processes information is transmitted
to the centre of NS - the brain. The brain, then, processes this data and creates and stores
patterns of reactions, behaviour, thinking, which will help organism to adapt and survive.
Some of these patterns we name concepts, attitudes, knowledge, etc. And through them
our consciousness works.
The structure and functions of NS are geneticly programmed. And so are all of the
processes of NS, including realization, knowledge, consciousness.
But we said already that the materialization of genetic program is not complete. It is
limited. Therefore, the structure and functions of NS are incomplete and limited, too. And so
are NS patterns, including concepts, attitudes, behaviour, relations. They are limited. And this
is how the boundaries of our imaginary I appear in our minds - through limited concepts and
relations. And our imaginary I becomes real for each of us; and it starts to powerfully defend
itself.
In terms of physiology, this means that in the NS - and especially the brain - only limited
neuron areas are active. All other areas are latent, dormant. And the active areas - for obvious
reasons - are only those which preserve and defend the I. The I who we believe we are - the
limited imaginary I. And this is why these neuron areas are often referred to as selfpreservation nervous centreof brain, or personality nucleus of mind.
And this centre or nucleus - with the self-preservation power and activity of its interneuron links - holds together our personality, our personal I. And so, its inter neuron links
- axons and dendrites - soon hypertrophy. And all other axons and dendrites - because of their
inactivity - atrophy. And thus, the self-preservation centre comes to dominate the whole
organism, the whole of its relations, the whole of our life. The I-centre becomes the ruler of
me.
And, for the sake of self-preservation, this I-centre begins building up such walls in our
consciousness, starts creating such self-preservation noises in our minds, that they act virtually
like jamming stations on all information which might come in and tell us that we are not this
imaginary I but we are the all that is - God. And this is how these self-preserving walls and
noises make God and Oneness with God non-existent. We become deaf and blind to real truth,
to real knowledge of the real I. ..
But could there be another way?
73

Key 18: Programming of Devotion.

In the name of God, the One!
Could realization take us to the real I?
It is a fact that better knowledge is better survival. The better we realize reality the better
we adapt to it. Therefore, the self-preservation instinct of limited I will inevitably seek to
know more and more and more about itself, about environment, about all that is; in order to
make its own existence more and more secure and pleasant.
In terms of physiology, this means that in the NS more and more areas become active and
are dormant no more. More and more parts of genetic program are materialized. More and
more, the NS and brain become capable of receiving, transmitting and processing information,
become capable of more sophisticated reactions. The abilities of NS and the whole organism
grow in quantities and qualities.
And this unavoidably leads to more and more sophisticated, broader and broader relations,
attitudes, concepts - and especially the concept of our real I. The mind begins to perceive
clearer and clearer the real size of real I. And, one by one, the limitations on understanding
fall apart.
The atrophied links between the once latent neural centres become active and help in the
storage of more and more knowledge, of more patterns. And the once hypertrophied links
between neurons relatively lessen their activity and gradually become less and less
domineering. This is how the self-preservation neuron centre starts to loosen its grip ; and the
walls of imaginary I, one by one, begin to fade.
And as a consequence, more and more abilities to perceive and realize God wake up in
us and start to evolve and evolve. And thus, we go higher and higher up the programmed
evolution of I.
As we said, (see fig. 1) first we come to trust the real I (God). Then we acquire
realization of real I; then - peace with real I. Next, we fall in love with real I. And this love
enables us to completely concentrate on the real I. The whole NS, the whole physiological
organism, the whole I begins to exist only out of love, by the love and for the love of God.
And this is how the ability of complete devotion to God evolves and gradually starts to
dominate the whole of our existence. And this is how the domination of limited I completely
disappears. There are no more atrophied and hypertrophied links between neurons and neuron
centres. There are only links between the I and the I. And they bring us closer and closer
together.
Until we become One and Only Inseverable I - God.
And this is how the Commandment of God: Be I ! is fulfilled. And this is how the highest
level of evolution is attained to - Oneness with God.
And this is how our instrument has completely worked out its program ; and is gone.

A LOOK
Once upon a time there was a man. And he was so handsome that everybody felt pleasure
looking at him. But he was so proud of himself, that he never looked at anybody.
And in the same village a young woman lived. She was not beautiful, she was not ugly,
she was just in love with the handsome man. And as days went on and on, her love grew
deeper and deeper. And one day, she gathered all the courage she could find in herself and
went to meet him.
And she met him in front of his house. And she stood before him and looked into his eyes.
And she said simply, I love you!
But the handsome man did not look up. He just laughed and joked, Do you deserve to
love a beautiful god like me!
Only love can make you God, she replied, her eyes still bright. But still blind he was.
And not even looking at the woman, the handsome man entered his house. And he left the
lover outside.
And he went on living his proud private life.
And days went on passing by, and months and years passed by and passed by. But one day,
suddenly, as if coming out of a dream, the once-handsome man found out he was a no-morehandsome old man now. His skin was thin and wrinkled, his hair was thin and white, his hands
were tired and wavering. And he was as lonesome as an old man could be.
He was forgotten by everybody.
And, as he felt his pride come out of him and fly away, a memory appeared in his mind.
And the memory was strangely sweet and touching. And, as if following this memory, the old
man went out of his house and stood there and looked around, his heart strongly hoping for
something. For someone.
And yes! She was there, waiting - the woman whose love he had rejected once. And she
was still young and tender. And a caressing smile was once more on her lips.
Now at last the lonesome man did look into her eyes. And he looked with thirst, and
looked, and looked. And soon he felt he was being engulfed into these eyes. And he felt
entering a large limitless space. And in this space he saw all the planets and all the stars and
all the cosmic winds of Universe. And the whole of Earth was here and all its lands and all
its oceans and all its living things and cities. ..
And he saw that - in here - they all shone with a pure peaceful light.

Review
In the name of God, the One!
Within the first level of our I-knowledge, with the first three triads of keys, we created
our realistic attitude toward the REAL I.
Then, on the second level, with the second three triads of keys, we created a realistic
75

attitude toward our IMAGINARY I.

But it is obvious that, in our consciousness, between these two attitudes there still is a
wide gap.
So, in order to bridge this gap, now - with the third three triads of keys - we shall offer
a realistic attitude toward the PATH from imaginary to real I. We shall know how imaginary
I could become the real I.
And this is to be the third level of our I-knowledge.

Key 19: Purpose of Path.

In the name of God, the One!
The first thing we have to know about any path we want to walk is its destination. Before
starting a travel we need to know its final purpose.
Now we know that the final purpose of the evolution of I is the Oneness with the real I
-God. The limited imaginary I is to become One I with God. Therefore, this is the purpose of
the Path from imaginary to real I, too.
Well, but what exactly this becoming One with God means?
Becoming one with an object means to acquire completely its very own features,
characteristics, qualities, etc. Hence, to become one with God I must completely acquire His
own qualities. My qualities must become the qualities of my real I. I must become really I.
But is this possible? we shall ask in doubt again. Can I really acquire divine qualities?
Yes, I can. Because I already have them - in my program. The program which God has
commanded to me: Be I! Be Me! Commanding Be Me! God has programmed each of us with
His very own features, characteristics, qualities. The I programs the I to be the I. Because,
this is the only way we can materialize His Commandment - Be I! And this way He fulfils His
own Commandment, His own I.
It is inevitable for us to have Gods qualities. But in most of us they are still latent,
dormant. We do not even know about them.
Therefore, we ought to first know them in order to wake them up. And then we should
start evolving them; and evolve them until we completely acquire them, and become One with
God.
So, let us know now what Gods qualities are.

Key 20: Oneness of God.

In the name of God, the One!
The easiest way to know Gods qualities is by His own Commandment - Be One!
God is Oneness. And this means that there is no division within God. Therefore, there are
no boundaries, no limits within God. And there are no limits without God, too. Because God
76

is all that is and out of Him there exists nothing to limit Him.
Hence, God is absolutely limitless. And so, this is His first fundamental qualityLIMITLESSNESS.
But limits are everywhere, we shall instinctively raise our walls of selfish doubt again.
And they feel very real.
Well, limits are recognised only by a limited I. Because, this is the only way the limited
I can preserve itself as a limited entity. This is the only way it can exist. Limits are reality only
for the limited concept of I.
But in reality limits are but links. They link each and all of us up in one complete whole,
in one I. Through links we touch, we interact, we merge. Through links we unite in oneness,
we become the all that is, the Whole - God. Through the links called limits we are
limitless.
So now, if God is limitless in Oneness, this means that He is one absolute Whole, too. And
consequently, this gives us Gods second fundamental quality- absolute WHOLENESS.
God has these two fundamental qualities in order to make the fulfilment of His own
Commandment possible - Be One!
But this Oneness, obviously, will remain static and thus unrealizable if there is no real
driving force behind it.
Therefore, Got has to have another absolute fundamental quality that will provide this
driving force.
What is this quality?

Key 21: Bliss of God.

In the name of God, the One!
We have said already that the best driving force of everything we do is love. Love is the
only realistic way to be One with the Beloved. And this experience of oneness in love we
often name bliss.
So, if we have this quality to be one in love, to be blissful, then God - our Programmer
- has it, too. And this is His third fundamental quality - absolute BLISS. And it is the quality
that gives God His perfect driving force - Love.
So, we know now all the fundamental qualities of God:
1. Limitlessness
2. Wholeness
3. Bliss.
(Why these three fundamental qualities are enough for the realization of Gods Oneness
we shall see in the second part of God consciousness.)
And these are the qualities we have to evolve and acquire in order to become One with
God. To become one I with our real I.

77

Review
In the name of God, the One!
Well, we saw that the qualities of God are programmed in us. So, all we have to do is
wake them up and evolve them until we acquire them in full. Yet, in our minds, we have
already wondered: What exactly this waking up and evolving qualities means? What actually
the nature of this Path is?

Key 22: Nature of Path.

In the name of God, the One!
Let us contemplate the following figure:

Fig.2. Map of Is Path.

Let us imagine that the left-standing I on this figure symbolizes the limited I. From this
state of I the limited I starts to gradually concentrate on the real I, until it attains to the state
of complete concentration on the real I. (See level 7 on fig. 1) A state of consciousness which
is symbolized by the I at the centre of fig. 2. And from here on, this concentrated I begins
to completely devote to the real I. Until it attains to the state of complete Oneness with the
real I. A state of consciousness which is symbolized by the right-hand I on fig. 2. And this
I is still the same I. But now its consciousness is in the state of Oneness with the all that is
- God.
Or in other words, the only thing that have changed in this Path from I to I is the state
of our I-consciousness, our self-consciousness. Yet, this only change has changed all that is.
Therefore, the Path is but a process of evolving our self-consciousness; in order to acquire
the consciousness which will give us the qualities of Oneness with the all that is, with God.

78

And hence, this is what the real nature of Path is - gradual evolving of I-consciousness,
of God-consciousness.
Well, but as we know, any nature will remain static and thus unrealizable if there is no real
driving force behind it.
So, what is this driving force?

Key 23: Driving force of Path.

In the name of God, the One!
We said already that our best driving force is love.
And this is not just wishful thinking and theories but a physiological fact. We are geneticly
programmed this way.
And indeed, we know that within our brain there is a complex neural structure which
scientists call the pleasure centre. This centre is quite active when we experience pleasure
and especially love.
How does this centre work?
The following experiment with a test animal tells us.
Into the pleasure-centre of the test animal an electrode is implanted. Through this
electrode the pleasure-centre is activated by a specific electric current. And the animal
experiences real pleasure. The electric current is switched on by a button which the animal
is trained to press. Thus, the animal may activate its own pleasure-centre whenever it
likes.
And it likes it pretty much. The animal soon starts to activate its pleasure-experience time
and time again, more and more frequently, unceasingly. The poor creature becomes so
possessed by the button of pleasure that it may stop eating, stop drinking, stop self-preserving;
and in the end may even die of exhaustion.
In fact, the animal is completely dependent on the pleasure-button. The more it
experiences pleasure the more it desires more pleasure; and more pleasure and more desire
and more pleasure and more desire... And so, this vicious circle becomes the sole driving
force of all the animals behaviour, of all the animals life, of all the animals would be
evolution.
The never-stopping wheel of pleasure-desire-pleasure-desire-pleasure-desire makes the
animal completely enamoured of one and only beloved - the pleasure-button. And for this
beloved the lover-animal is capable of doing virtually miracles...
Well, but could this driving-power of the pleasure-centre be redirected towards a
somewhat different Beloved?
If we use the pleasure-power to drive us up from imaginary to real I? If we harness this
love-energy to the loving of our only real Beloved? To what final result this driving force will
lead us then?

79

Key 24: Result of Path.

In the name of God, the One!
We can tell now that: The acquiring of Gods Oneness-qualities and thus becoming One
with God is the real final result of our Path.
But, on figure 1 we see that these Oneness-qualities cannot be acquired simultaneously.
The key-quality to be evolved and acquired first is Limitlessness. Because, if I do not first
destroy all my limits I cannot obtain the Wholeness of my I. And so I cannot acquire the
quality of Wholeness.
Going up and up the Path from imaginary to real I, I surmount one by one my limits, my
limited states of consciousness. And from the state of limitation of I I attain to the result,
to the divine quality of Limitlessness of I.
And only now I may acquire the quality of Wholeness, as well. I may become one whole
I with my real I - God. Because no limits between us exist any more.
And this will result in a divine Bliss.
And thus, I acquire the quality of Bliss.
And so, I have acquired all the Oneness-qualities. And I am really One with God.
My Path is over.

Review
In the name of God, the One!
Well, we know now what the PURPOSE of Path is - the acquiring of Gods qualities. And
we know what the NATURE of Path is - the evolving of God-consciousness, in order to
acquire Gods qualities and become One with God.
But we still do not know HOW to walk this Path. How can we pragmaticly realize the
nature of Path, in order to gain the purpose of Path? How can we PRACTICALLY - in our
everyday life - go up the programmed evolution?

The Word:
2. God says: He who concentrates his mind on Me and so is absorbed in the constant
faithful worship of Me, him I see as the best yogi...
6-7. Who devotes all he does to Me only, who meditates on Me only, who worships Me
only and so is inseparably attached to Me, him I shall save.
(Bhagavad gita , ch 12)

80

Key 25: The need to practise Path.

In the name of God, the One!
We saw that, for the sake of self-preservation, the self-preservation centre of our brain
builds up wall after wall. Until a mighty fortress is created.
But the inter-neuron links of this fortress (centre) are so strong and unalterable that,
eventually, they become bonds for us. The fortress of myself becomes the prison of my I.
And out of this prison I can slip only after a real big digging. That is - after real hard
efforts to overcome my own walls.
And this, obviously, needs a great deal of time and practice.
Therefore, what we really need to go up the Path is practice.
Because the self-preservation centre is a truly diehard stronghold, we shall have to
practise equally hard and persistently, every day, every minute of our life; in order to take
down, brick by brick, our own walls and defences.
Only a perpetual exercising of our dormant abilities can wake up and evolve our
consciousness to the consciousness of limitless Oneness with God.
Well, here instantly a practical question will arise, but WHAT exactly are we to
practise, to exercise?

Key 26: Heart of practice.

In the name of God, the One!
In the limited state of consciousness the I is conscious only of limits. The I sees limits
everywhere and in everything. And this is how the consciousness of limited I becomes divided.
For such a consciousness everything exists on his own, closed within its own boundaries;
nothing is coherent and synchronous; chaos is all around, and all within, too; the mind is
running to and fro and cannot concentrate on anything longer than a few moments. The
divided consciousness of limited I is a rough ocean of disconnected facts and probabilities in
which the boat of real I-consciousness and knowledge is desperately lost...
Well, thanks God this is not forever. As we saw, step by step, day by day, our abilities
to surmount limits awake and evolve. And this is how we begin to surmount divisions, too.
Our consciousness slowly starts to realize the illusiveness of division, and the reality of
Oneness - the Oneness with my real limitless I.
And our consciousness starts to realize, too, that Oneness is the way out of division and
limitation, Oneness is the Path to God, Oneness and only Oneness is what we have to practise
in order to become One with our real I.
The perpetual practice of Oneness is the only real Path to the One.
All right! But exactly how this Oneness is to be practised? we shall pragmaticly ask
once more.

81

Key 27: How to practise.

In the name of God, the One!
We already know that the concentration on the One is the only real Path to Oneness with
the One. Therefore, concentration on the real I is what limited I should practise in order to
become one I with its real I - God.
Complete concentration on the One is how we should practise Oneness.
(More about Path, practice and METHOD of practice in the second part of God
consciousness)

Review
In the name of God, the One!
About now we should have built up our realistic attitude toward the real I, toward the
imaginary I and toward the Path from imaginary to real I. And so, in fact, we should have
made our first fundamental step in I-knowledge - the realization of Is Oneness.
Oneness of I is the foundation-truth for us to know so as to really start the process of
knowing the real I - God.
So, in this first part of I-knowledge we had the idea of WHAT our real I is. But now we
shall have to know, too, WHY real I is what He is.
Hence, in our next stage of I-knowledge - the second part of God consciousness - we
shall have to study the real I from a slightly different viewpoint now - the Bliss of God.
