Course Description:
Algebra 460/461 is a fun and exciting course covering many of the fundamental
topics that will be a big part of the rest of the math you ever do! Succeeding in this
class is essential to your future Math classes and the real world! Algebra 460 will
cover the basic connections to Algebra, properties of real numbers, solving linear
equations, graphing linear equations and functions, writing linear equations, along
with solving and graphing linear inequalities. Algebra 461 will finish off the year with
systems of linear equations and inequalities, exponents and exponential functions,
quadratic equations, polynomials and factoring and rational expressions.

Textbook: McDougal Littell Algebra 1 written by Larson, Boswell, Kanold and
Stiff
iPad

Class Expectations:
Students are expected to STAY IN YOUR SEAT until the bell has rung!
Make sure to ASK QUESTIONS whenever you dont understand something!
It is your responsibility to COME TO CLASS ON TIME and prepared with the
above required materials.
Be respectful to EVERYONE in the class (this includes students and teachers).
Look to participate in class EVERY DAY.
Technology including iPads are to be used for ACADEMIC PURPOSES ONLY!!!

What If Im Going To Be Absent?:


Students will be given the same amount of days that they were absent to
complete and turn in the work they missed.
If you are gone from class, it is your responsibility to check for any work
missed. You can also ask classmates or check your unit calendar for missed
work.
Remember! Absences can affect your grade because you are missing
important material!

Cheating:
Cheating will not be allowed in any way. Anyone caught cheating will be given
no credit for their test, quiz, or assignment. Cheating means lying, using
someone elses work, or giving someone your own work without the
permission of the teacher.
