TECHNOLOGY (BSAcT)
The Bachelor of Science in Accounting Technology (BSAcT) is a laderrized, non-board program. Its
objectives are to equip students with specific skills for entry into the business process outsourcing
(BPO) industry and accounting profession and prepare the student for eventual entry into the regular
degree program of the Bachelor of Science in Accountancy.
After satisfactory completion of the two-curricular year requirement, students will earn the Certificate
for Accounting Technology. Students who complete the four curricular years will earn the Bachelor of
Accounting Technology (BSAcT) degree. Opportunities for entry level jobs include financial
statement preparers, financial accounting and reporting staff, management accounting staff, tax
accounting staff, internal audit staff, financial analyst, budget analyst, credit analyst, cost accountant.

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
The UE BSAcT Program envisions its graduates to:

Actively engage in any of the four sectors of the Accounting profession, namely Academe, Commerce and Industry,
Government and Public Practice.
Develop an awareness and knowledge of the role of ethics in the accounting profession and in accounting
business practices, and adhere to the Professional Code of Ethics in the practice of Accountancy profession.
Work effectively as individuals or as a team to accomplish tasks in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams in the
national and global settings.
Continuously acquire and maintain professional competence through related work experience and continuing
professional development(CPD).
Adhere to the core values of integrity, professionalism, teamwork, transparency, accountability and social
responsibility.
Render valuable community service and outreach through various extension services.

The program also enables UE graduates to pursue the regular Bachelor of Science in
Accountancy degree program after passing a comprehensive qualifying examination
measuring their sound readiness to hurdle the CPA licensure examinations.
