Over the years, Ive come to appreciate the immense value of fellowship on my own journey;
not only for the exchange of inspiration and support but also for its power of unified intention.
Ive had the good fortune of practicing Yoga and meditation with many dear friends but
primarily with my husband and partner on the path. Together we encourage each other through
regular shared practice. I believe it is this unified vision that has not only made for a happy and
harmonious married life but also for increasing our love and respect for one another over our
21 years together. When people gather their energies together with the purpose of conscious
evolution 1 + 1 can equal 11!
There are many sadhanas (spiritual practices) which easily lend themselves to cooperative
effort such as practicing asanas, mudras, pranayama, Yoga relaxation & visualization, japa,
meditation, various pujas, study of scripture like the Yoga Sutras or The Bhagavad Gita, mantra
recitation or spiritual chanting (kirtan), planning and preparing sattvic meals together, doing a
detox or juicing program, creating or joining in community seva (selfless service). Essentially,
any practice that generates positive qualities such as compassion, wisdom, harmony and true

to our true self, the less fear & insecurity we
have. Our capacity to love our self and others
increases. This means more honest communi
cation, more authentic moments. More happy

Cooperative practice is a very effective way to
exchange good energy. It helps people bring out
best in one another. If our compass gets stuck,
another persons enthusiasm can reaffirm the
teachings, and sometimes nudge us out of
apathy or our comfort zone.

Yoga socialization is an opportunity to steer the
focal point of meet ups from over externalization
(draining) activities (like roaming the mall to buy
stuff we dont need) to purpose-based inter
actions that uplift and recharge our inner
battery.

Relating to someone through a sincere desire for
conscious evolution keeps the communication
and intention in the relationship real. As our
awareness of unity or Yoga evolves, we naturally
want less game playing, less manipulation, less
selfish motives in our dealings with those in our
lives. Truth or Satya adds depth to our character
and our relationships, when we honor it.

conScIouSnESS:
Each individual is part of the collective
consciousness. It is up to us, as drops, puddles,
ponds, rivers and streams to decide what kind
of energy we allow flow into our relationships,
families, communities, countries and planet.
Because every action, constructive or destructive

Saviors, and Savasana, or
what is known as corpse
pose in yoga practice. Santa
a nd ou r ma ny s av io r s ,
ranging from Islam to Christianity, much
like our Messiah-like political leaders, have
a heavy hand. They employ the carrot and
stick approach to order the reality theyve
constructed.
Savasana is practiced at the end of yoga exercise classes. Its a simple thing.
You lie down on your back on the mat with your arms at your sides, close your
eyes, and breathe naturally. When you surrender to Santa and the Savior you
agree to live by their rules. When you surrender to Savasana its just you just
as you are, not as what anybody else says you should be.
Savasana only works when youre being honest about it.
You dont have to be an honest man or woman to live in the world of Santa
and the Savior. You only have to do what you need to do to get along and get
what you want. Its OK to lie to yourself. Who cares about the spirit of the
thing?
Next to a circus there aint nothing that packs up and tears out faster than

Many people shed flakes of dandruff,
especially in winter, when the scalp
may be dry. But some people have
a hereditary tendency to develop
skin problems that are triggered by
sensitivity to specific foods. Because
the offending food varies from
one person to the next, the only
reasonable advice is to avoid foods
that seem to make dandruff worse.
Some cases of dandruff may respond
to flaxseed oil, which seems to help
itchy skin conditions like psoriasis
and eczema. Take 1 to 2 teaspoons
a day. You will need to wait several
weeks to see an effect.
