JUST A NORMAL,
EVERYDAY
LONG BEACH JOE
Tampa Bay Rays manager Maddon, who has been
known to tweet free drinks at Legends, has his team
once again in the postseason
K, so he was born in Hazelton, Pa., which is at the foot of the Poconos and about 45 minutes away from Scranton, the fictional home
office of Dunder-Mifflin. The best we can come up with is Signal
Hill and being the former home office of the C-17.
He now lives most of the year in Tampa, Fla.
Which has a bay and a beach, like Long Beach,
and while it may be 2,537 miles away by car
from Long Beach, you can essentially get
there with few stops by hopping on the I-10 and
BOB
heading east.

We claim Joe Maddon as our own.
And why not? We have as much in common with Los
Angeles as, say, Somalia. We are our own town, and
we set our own rules and make our own friends and
we know good people when we share a drink with
them at Legends or Tranis or McKennas or Tantalum.
Thats what Maddon, the former Angels coach
and current Tampa Bay Rays manager, does in
the offseason when he returns to his home in
Belmont Shore. Its what Maddon did a month
