EAM Resource Unavailability

EAM maintenance work order downtime updates the resource calendar for planning and scheduling.
The maintenance workorder resource downtimes from EAM are brought into OPM and update the OPM Resource Calendar with
unavailable time. This unavailable time is picked up by ASCP and also Manufacturing Scheduling or Production Scheduling so that
production batches are not planned or scheduled during this unavailable time.

EAM Resource Unavailability - How to Set Up this Feature

There is a profile option "GMP:Exception Code for EAM downtime" that the user must use for maintenance downtimes to be
automatically taken into the resource calendar. The user creates a code in this profile that is used as an exception code in the
resource calendar. This code is then used in the resource calendar and associated to any downtimes that are brought in from

EAM.

EAM Resource Unavailability - How to Use this Feature

11i OPM Process Planning > MRP > Reports > Standard > Run > Extract eAM downtimes
R12 OPM Material Planner > Material Planning > Reports > Standard > Run > Extract eAM downtimes
The user must run the Extract EAM Downtimes program. They can run this for one plant by entering the plant code or leave this
field blank to run for all plants. They also have the option to include Unreleased maintenance orders. They can also include
Unfirmed maintenance orders. The last option available is to run this for one resource or leave this field blank and it will be run
for all resources. When this process is complete the user will be able to run ASCP or Manufacturing Scheduling and production
batches will not be planned or scheduled during these resource downtimes.
