(WHATS THE STORY) MORNING GLORY?

asis came onto the scene of

music in 1994 and took everyone off
of their feet with their debut album,
Definitely Maybe. Their first album
didnt get as much recognition as their
second, but the popularity of the band
rose to newer heights fairly quickly
then calmed around the millennium.
The past last years have shown the
band Oasis resurrect in the public's
attention for the band. The attention
however has never really gone away,
but when we all take a moment to
look back at those earlier albums they
remind us of just how brilliant and
powerful they was.
For being accountable for many, Definitely Maybe was the second album
they heard rather than the first, this
is most likely because of it didnt get
barely any radio airplay. What gave
the band the gratitude they deserved
was the smash hit Wonderwall,
this masterpiece was off of the 1995
album (Whats the Story) Morning
Glory? This album gave the band all
of our collective attention and none
of us never turned back. Liams voice
takes another turn on each track as the
singer sounds flawless and excelling
contrasted to the wiped out, cigarette
scratchy whine when he performs now.
When the band was first advertised
as a the new generation of Beatles.
Clearly they wasnt anywhere near
going to live up to that type of hype,
but of course they was the closest
thing to compared to other bands
around at that time. Oasis albums and
concert tickets were rising higher than
ever before, with all of their concerts
being sold out and selling millions and
millions of albums. When comparing
this band to the Beatles is completely
ridiculous, however the impact Oasis
has on music from this album alone is

as singles in both the UK and the
States. Some Might Say and Roll With It
we're both massive hits in the UK but
didnt quite go too well in the United
States. Although. Champagne Supernova didnt even realise as a single
in the UK. Champagne Supernova was
questionably be called the best song of
the 90s. The way that this track was
made you feel as if it was taking you
on a journey with the band. This song
is nostalgic and gives you a new feel
upon every listen. This song is the perfect track to close out the album. This
song along was probably the reason
why the album went 4x platinum in the
USA by 1996. The song gave the fans
of Oasis what they had been looking
for, it wasn't hard rock or grunge. What
made this song so unique was how
different and appealing it was.

onto and also gave the song a sweeter taste than the original. All of the
songs Oasis has produced, it seems to
me that whenever this one is played
live, on the radio or even on their
album even when this song is being
played and is in within earshot will
begin a sing along. The heart and soul
band is of course Noel Gallagher. When
you put him in a studio and give him a
guitar, he will produced gold. He was
the one who wrote almost all of the
songs. This band has a sort of complex
like Wizard of OZ as Noel is the
one doing all of the work behind the
scenes, whilst Liam is the face of the
songs singing them as his own. When
Noel sings the songs which he writes
it feels more personal to hear him sing
them.

THE BEST SINGLE OF THE

ALBUM IS THE HARD HITTING SHES ELECTRIC

When looking at (Whats The Story) Morning Glory? As a whole it is

most definitely essential to have, not
because its the band's greatest by
far, but for its conspicuous place in
pop music. The album alone was huge
and sold massive amounts. At times
this album has been most definitely
unrecognised when raking the best
90s albums. You cannot find many
friendly complete albums such as
Morning Glory. If you listen to Morning
Glory again and again you may realise
that it belongs in big discussion more
than you may have thought before.
The album has the best blend of rock
melancholy, and this album definitely
by far deserves its due.

The best non-single on the album is

the hard hitting Shes Electric. The
song alone is very simple, but sweeps
the other songs along with it. This
song gets lost in the shuffle. It is a
more of a pick-me-up song. Should
be listened to after the slow Cast No
Shadow. When talking about the album
as a whole it is jam packed of effortless guitar solos and inspiring vocals.
These two tracks alone are so simple
and uncomplicated that both can get
sophistical as being not like the others on the album. The songwriter for
all of these amazing, heart warming
songs Noel has always been fantastic
at writing love songs that hit home
when listened to. In my personal opinion the lack of attention these songs
get only makes them better.
In 2008 Oasis did their final tour. Each
concert had a stripped-down acoustic
version of Dont Look Back in Anger

If youre in the No.1 charts now, it

automatically means you must be shit.

Music is an escape route for all

of us.
