One of the designer of the famous Zuellig are Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, also known as the
SOM Architectural Firm. It is an architectural firm founded in America. Formed by Louis

Skidmore and Nathaniel Owings in 1936 at Chicago, Illanois, USA.

SOM is one of the well-known architectural firm in the world. They are famous by their trade
mark in doing high-rise buildings such as Burj Khalifa, Rockwell Center, One world trade center,
Zuellig, etc.
Known to their modern international-style or "glass box" skyscraper

SOM firm didnt just offer Architectural Design, they also do Building Services/MEP
Engineering, Digital Design, Graphics, Interior Design, Structural Engineering, Civil
Engineering, Sustainable Design and Urban Design & Planning. They have regional offices
across the world. Proof that SOM done great in the field of architecture.
As one of being well-known in the world they gathered lots of recognition of their firm. Like,
Architecture Firm Award from the American Institute of Architects.
As of now, SOM firm still doing boundless in the field of architecture and construction. They
have a lot of project lined up this year and for the upcoming year.

W.V Coscolluela & Associates (or WVCA)

WVCA is an Architectual firm based here in the Philippines. Established by

William V. Coscolluela, PIA in 1957.

One of the designer of the famous Zuellig building. They are the one behind
in a variation of local projects that include commercial/industrial and
mixed-use developments, residential, educational & recreational
projects. They also participate as design consultant in overseas
projects in Guam, Malaysia, Singapore, Taipei, Saipan & Mainland
China.

WVCA Firm runs almost fifty years in the industry. They are also one of the famous firm here in
the Philippines.

WHO RATED THE ZUELLIG BUILDING?

On July 16, 2013, the US GBC upgraded the certification to its highest level: Platinum. The
Zuellig Building is the first recipient of a Platinum certification in the Philippines; this pushes
the country further towards global competitiveness. According to the one article about Zuellig

It is the LEED who rated the Zuellig Building with a Gold rated green building before, but when
the Platinum was introduced by 2013 which Zuellig Building is fit, the jurors under LEED
decided to give the Platinum title to Zuellig Building.
WHO IS LEED?
The LEED or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design measures the design and
construction of the building in following key areas: sustainable site development, water savings,

energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality. Buildings can qualify for
four levels of LEED certification: Certified, Silver, Gold and Platinum.
LEED was originated in America by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) in the year 2000
and has since become the globally recognized standard for green building certification.
On June 2009, the U.S. Green Building Council gave the GOLD-LEVEL title to Zuellig Building
with pre-certification under the LEED-CS (Core and Shell program). Then on the June 2013,
LEED upgraded the title given to Zuellig Building when they introduced the Platinum Level. It is
Zuellig Building who is the first one here in the Philippines who got the Platinum Level.
